Alwaysinmyroom, that bag rocks!

I Sew Silly, did you make that rectangular doily?  It's a gorgeous pattern!

Love the Peanuts ornaments too!

AND, of course supplies are always super fun! In fact, I received my package of supplies from Alliecat### last week.  Sorry, it's taken me a minute to post, it's been a busy weekend.

Anyway, she got me a variety of fun stuff and included a motherload of awesome naturey-buggy charms!  I love everything!  Thanks Alliecat!

Oh, the gallery is already 6 pages long!  I'll go back and check out all the awesome in a minute, but right now I want to (finally!) post what Ludi sent me!

She made me the cutest chubbiest toad brooch ever!  And, it's stumpwork, so I can actually poke it's belly!   Cheesy

(I flipped my ring around so you all can see how much of a herptile person I am  Wink )

You can't even fully see all the colors of thread that were meticulously layered to create this!

Plus I got a bonus because she sent me one of artsycandice's block-printed cards (which smells wonderful and reminds of when I was still in school studying art.)  Lucky me, as I am a Lovecraft fan for sure!

And I took a picture of it next to my girl Petunia, well because I just had too!!  Petunia is at least 11 yrs old!

Thank you so much Ludi!
Now...how to get more needlework twinchies!!!???

Wow! Look at all that cool stuff alwaysinmyroom!  I'm glad you got spoiled too Wink

Here are the pics of all the amazing that alwaysinmyroom sent me and my son.  She surprised my little boy with a big huge plate of felt food for his birthday!  I took a lot of pics because I just could not believe all the tiny details that she included.

Here is the hamburger and fries, and of course all the toppings:

You really can't even see the details in the tomato in the photo, but it has two layers of different colored red felt!  Look at the tiny pickles!
The best part is that when I opened it, my little guy wasn't in the room, but my teenager was and he instantly said "I want to make a sandwich!" and started playing with it!  It literally became a whole family affair as the husband and little one quickly joined in the fun.

But that's not all!  She also sent him a slice of watermelon, a deviled egg (which made both my teen and dh want deviled eggs), some bow tie pasta, and the cutest panda card ever with the sweetest note.

The deviled egg even has little paprika sprinkles!

Here's Sebastian enjoying his gift...he says "Thank you" btw.

...but that's STILL not all!  She felt bad for not sending me anything (silly nilly) and made me a gorgeous little botanical dotee! I luuuub it so much!

One quick glance at my pinterest and you'll know that this is totally my style!
Here's a thumbnail of the adorable cards that she included, and I believe she made.

Thanks a million bajillion alwaysinmyroom!  You went way above and beyond, and I'm guiltily glad you did!   Grin

25  Carnivorous plants swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by La Chapa on: May 23, 2014 12:32:42 AM
So my husband gifted me a lovely little pitcher plant for my birthday, and I have developed a full-blown obsession with carnivorous plants.  Sundews, pitcher plants, venus fly traps; just imagine the possibilities!  T-shirts, painted sneakers, hoopla!, wall art, totes, bags, jewelry!  Anyone interested?

I got my claim package from lindyv and she totally spoiled me!  Not only did she send me two awesome shirts (a bee one for me, and a Dr. Who one for my son,) but she also sent me an item from my supply list, some gorgeous lace trim!  You can't see the detail too much on that ball of lace, but it is gorgeous and looks like crochet!  I love my shirt to pieces, and my son is excited to wear his to school!  Thanks a million lindyv, you rock!

Hey folks, I'm so sorry for forgetting to post this awesome Nosferatu card from CDEeeek.  I love it to death!  Thank you so much CDEeeek and I am so so so sorry and quite a bit embarrassed for forgetting this final and oh so important step.  Thanks for pulling my ear on it!  Wink

28  Forest Witch Were-Owl in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by La Chapa on: May 05, 2014 03:47:18 PM
I know it's a mouth full, but that's what she is!  I made her for a swap (not on Craftster.)  She is a were-owl and can transform partially or completely into an owl.  Here she is in a quasi stage, with both human and owl characteristics.  Can you guess which?

There are more pics up on my blog if you want to see more.   Smiley

Thanks for looking!

29  Re: IYP (invite your partner) 25 - Silver Jubilee Gallery in The Swap Gallery by La Chapa on: April 28, 2014 09:49:45 PM
Petskin, I'm so glad you like your pillow!!  It looks great on your couch.  I think it is so funny that you picked up on my toddler's scribble art.  I literally just ripped those out of his little sketch pad to use as a buffer between the pillow and the box so the pillow wouldn't get cut if you opened it with a box cutter or knife, but I never expected you to even notice them.  Not that I don't cherish my child's art!  I framed his very first watercolor.   Grin

PLUS, I received today as well, and I love what you sent!
Folks, petskin really outdid herself!  I got a needlefelted mushroom medley sculpture, a mini mushroom, and an adorable black widow!

she even has an hourglass!

the tiny mushroom with a quarter for size reference

I'm hoping to find a tiny jar, or glass dome to put this in.

And the piece de resistance...excuse the photo overload, but it really is one of those pieces that needs to be seen from all angles   Grin

See what I mean!  It is absolutely wonderful!

I love these soooo much!!! Thank you for agreeing to swap with me petskin!  IYP is my favorite swap ever!
I couldn't be any happier.  I am one happy camper.   Grin

Thanks everyone! Ludi, glad you like him! I made him his own topic in case anyone wants to see more pics Wink  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432891.new#axzz2z1cBetH0

AND, I am now the official owner of a Ludi original!  I don't even know what to call this guy, but I think he's an ear of corn?  I have to quote my families reactions because I found them amusing:  My husband said "That's pretty tight."  I might add that he rarely comments on any of my crafty stuff.  My teen said "That looks like a corn. Is that a corn? That's a corn! I think that face is going to haunt my dreams!"  Lol!  And Ludi thought it wasn't creepy enough, pfft!  Anyway, I think he's beautiful, and he's perfect for my Spring table.  Thanks Ludi!
