There are "sew" many great ideas, how do you all make up your mind on what to do?

Well, I just raided my daughter's stash.  She's been swapping on craftster for a while so she has a lot of stuff she has picked up just in case.  Picked her brain for ideas too, I think we have a good one.

I went from inkle pick up weaving to cards, I'm really just getting started with bothe of them but have a lot of fun with it.  Yours are quite nice.  I, too, like the outline effect on the green one.

Don't think I'm crazy when I jump in here, I'm doing a private side swap right along side you all since I didn't qualify for a swap yet.  I am so jealous of those of you who can run out to the craft store.  I have to order a lot of mine because the closest craft  store is like two hours away.  Walmart doesn't hardly carry anything anymore.  Jen
118  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / Re: Curious Question on: February 22, 2012 06:32:17 PM
Well, I know they have Triangle looms in all sizes, but I don't know how they work, but there are books about it and I have seen some pictures of some nice shawls woven on them.  And of course, if you weave a fabric, you can cut it to make clothing and such.
119  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Blue Rug on: February 16, 2012 04:14:35 PM

I finally figured out how to connect this knit rope I'm using as weft so I get seemless joins.  This is my first rug using this technique and it looks so good without the bulges.  This is my 4th rug.  I got a little fancy with the knot work on the fringe.  The warp is 8/4 cotton carpet warp 12 ends per inch but double threaded every other dent.

120  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Different size square problem on: February 16, 2012 04:00:15 PM
I know I have to be careful what mood I'm in when crocheting, or mine will come out different sizes from holding different tension on the thread!  It could be the stitches involved, you might crochet a certain stitch tighter than another.  I would either try that one over to see if it came out like the others, or do a round of single crochet around the smaller squares before joining.
