ChrisSews received last week (actually I think it was the 11th). She is probably very busy getting moved in to her new house, so maybe she won't mind if I go ahead and post some pictures of her handwoven rug. Here are pics of the whole rug, one that shows the colors better, and one that shows the knotted fringe. autumn rug by jenjscott, on Flickr
Well I'm back from the Tattoo convention, where I got permanent cosmetics ( got eyeliner tattooed on). So I'm here to show the the awsomeness of waggonswest's MAQ. It is titled Hen Zen. First the whole thing, as she showed you, Love the splashes of color with the black and white. HEN ZEN by jenjscott, on Flickr
Little beads in the little circles, reminds me of little galaxies in space.
I just wanted to show off this mini art quilt I made for the MAQ swap. I made the quilt round, with plastic brake hose as a frame inside the border. Every piece of fabric is a fruit or vegetable. Included are bananas, lemons, chile peppers, raspberries, blueberries, watermelon, carrots, cucumbers and one bitty piece of garden medley.
I love the way swapping encourages me to try new things and push my limits. This was my first paper piecing.
Each Quarter was a different pattern, but I made each one to accept the same center piece to tie them together.
Totally sorry to be so lng in posting this, I received last Wednesday from Tiffi. It is an amazing collection of stash building items The first pic is the whole shebangs. Embroidery project for anything goes needlework swap. The piece was adapted from a pattern "heartstrings" purchased on etsy. The gentleman has crocheted a heart as evidenced by his crochet needle. The lady has embroidered "J+J" on the heart with her embroidery needle. 2012-03-13 18.08.31 by jenjscott, on Flickr 2012-03-13 18.08.44 by jenjscott, on Flickr
Here is a monster I created for a creepy cute private swap. Believe it or not I started with a poppet pattern. Added a "little" facial and body sculpting (check out the anatomically correct bosom) The arms and legs came from the old "foster kids" doll patterns. 2012-03-11 16.47.17 by jenjscott, on Flickr
This morning I got my hoop from thehappycrochetchic. She used tattoo flash to make a bad girl. Without further ado, here is the Reform school girl hangin out with the other bad girls at the tattoo shop.
Here she is a little closer. She is colored with markers. I pulled her out and showed her to my tattoo artist daughter and she knew who drew the flash! I have named her Scarlet and she has a happy home hanging here in the tattoo shop!
