Perhaps you could make paper heart baskets? Like this:

http://leelouzworld.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/dec-9-alfie-makes-woven-paper-christmas-hearts/

As you can see, there are all kinds of advanced patterns, but the basic one is no too hard so that I think everyone could make. Also you could get nice shiny paper that is fun to work with.

Thanks for the tutorial, I might try making a bra.  Smiley
5  ASIA / Japan / Re: Inexpensive Fabric Stores in Tokyo? on: May 27, 2008 07:46:50 PM
Hi!

I found a little store in Shibuya, near the station. Its on Koendouri, on a corner. (I don't remember which, but maybe third coming from the station area.) It is not a huge shop, but they have some cute things, and some of the typical Japanese fabric too. And as far as I can see the prices are reasonable. Sure they have the 1000 yen-a-meter ones too, but I found a totally cute one that wasn't more than 450 yen or so.  Grin
6  ASIA / Japan / Craftster in Tokyo? on: April 29, 2008 03:15:37 AM
So, I'm this 19-year-old Swedish girl who thought it would be a good Idea to go to Tokyo for three months to learn a bit of Japanese.  But I have found out that Tokyo is not at all as fun on your own as it could be with company. So if anyone esle needs someone to craft with or go shopping for fabric of maybe just have a coffee let me know Smiley

I'll be here untill July.

I know your out there!
