1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / HELP!! Desperate to sew!! on: October 08, 2005 11:17:13 AM
hi there... i've only recently got into the world of crafting by starting up knitting again after years of watching my nans do it, but now i would love to start making my own clothes hoping to further it to a college course at some point in the future.... Wink
Problem is that i don't know the first thing about sewing or patterns??!!
I live in the Dorset area but i am able to travel easily to some parts of Somerset as well and was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that does beginners classes in clothes making in this area or anywhere that i can find this info out??? Huh

thanks for all your help

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / HELP!!! Need modern knitting patterns quick!! on: August 10, 2005 07:57:26 AM
Basically i've just started knitting (i found stich n bitch) but now i want some more patterns. Living here in a small village in the south of England, i'm finding it really hard to find decent knitting books that don't just have baby knits and fudy dudy sweater patterns in them.

Does anyone know of some decent funky books that i can't order in or off the internet Huh

Please help??!!
