2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Sister-in-law purse on: November 08, 2012 06:56:10 AM
i made this purse from scraps. i love Tandy Leather Factory. think i spent about 20.00, mostly for the hardware, on this purse. i made it for my sister in law. she is a green and purple fan. i made the pattern myself. it's the first time i made a purse so i was proud it turned out so well.

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / birds on flags baby quilt on: November 08, 2012 06:46:32 AM
i made this pattern myself. it was super easy to put together and i didn't have to be so precise to make it fit together just right. yay! for sloppy quilting!  my mom got  a Jamone 12000 memory craft embroidery machine with the digitizer MBX software for her retirement present to herself.  it's so awesome, so, so awesome.  this was the first project i made with it and i was happy with the results.

i made this for my cousin who is having a baby anytime now. it's a girl, hopefully.

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Chubby Chicks baby quilt on: November 08, 2012 06:25:31 AM
this pattern is from black mountain quilts. I made it for my cousin's wife. she didn't know what she was having so it was a great quilt to do the androgynous thing. The baby turned out to be a boy Smiley

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hazel & Corpula on: November 08, 2012 05:41:03 AM
i'm beginning a series of witches.  i would like to make them into a mobile of maybe 7 or possibly 13 (if that isn't to large) with a small caldron in the middle as the weight.  i've mostly finished the first 2 except for their brooms... I haven't figured out what material i should use so if there are any suggestions on broom material i would be grateful.

i based Hazel off a vintage kitchen witch i found at a swap meet years ago. i fell in love with her and ever since i have been wanting to make a series of them. Corpula just kinda came out a western brothel witch... or something, lol! i don't know but she was fun making.

6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Let Sleeping Cats Lie on: May 21, 2012 08:04:00 AM
I'm new at this. it's my first posting of any of my stuff... hopefully it turns out OK.

I made this quilt for my mom. it's about 7 1/2' X 6 '. It's Helen Knott's pattern "Let sleeping cats lie" she has a pattern for dogs too.

I appliqued and machine embroidered 48 of these cat heads... i was having dreams of cat heads, lol

i probably could have taken better photos before i gave it away.... but i never think of that until it's to late.
