1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Border size on: December 09, 2013 01:30:30 AM
How do you determine how wide to make your borders?
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Fairy Wings Tutorial IMAGE HEAVY!!!!!! on: April 07, 2013 08:45:46 PM
I couldn't for the life of me find plain wire but I found some that was coated in thin plastic so fingers crossed it works out the same.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Why?? Do you sew for your children? on: October 28, 2012 11:29:40 PM
As I get older I'm more interested in practical applications for my creativity. Also I'm not a fan of animals on every single thing and I'm not a fan of the current color palettes. Okay so she's a girl. Does she HAVE to always be in pink and purple? Why are we afraid of greys and black on children?
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / So much seed stitch!! on: October 28, 2012 10:59:49 PM
So I'm taking a checkerboard washcloth pattern (squares of seed stitch alternating with squares of stockingette surrounded by a seed stitch border) and blowing it up into a blanket. I figure it'd be grippy because my mom's house has wood floors and with the seed stitch it'd be a bit cushy on the floor but not too much.

SOOO much SEEEED stitch!!! I'm due in March but this might not get done until she's 2.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Plus size and pregnant on: October 28, 2012 01:27:38 AM
I am so frustrated by the lack of options in the store. But at the same time I'm just not sure what I could actually make for myself to wear. Any EASY pattens? I don't need a panel if it's stretchy enough or I can wear it under my belly.

It's getting cold and I need something else to wear besides sweatpants. I feel underdressed everywhere.
