6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Angry koala bear on: September 10, 2012 02:03:44 PM
the background is really an intense fuchsia almost purple pink.
My favorite part is that the Koala looks disgruntled.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Three of a kind charcoal, graphite and a draft on: September 10, 2012 01:59:48 PM
This is the first draft in graphite

this is the second draft in charcoal
I tend to favor charcoal so i go bold and have a lot of fun with it.

the final draft in graphite
I usually dislike graphite but for the final draft of this i wanted to challenge myself and i really love the end result, however on the graphite the color is darker in real life
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Trying to recreate Regency Short Stays on: July 07, 2012 11:46:08 AM
Thank you, I actually saw your post of your short stays here while i was doing research before I asked. even though they are not a historically accurate color, i really think that they are beautiful!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Trying to recreate Regency Short Stays on: July 03, 2012 12:10:16 PM
So lately I have gotten really interested in Regency era Short Stays, but I am having trouble finding a pattern in one of the mainstream brands, so I decided that I might as well try my hand at drafting a pattern. I have done some pattern drafting in the past but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

By the way, I am planning on making these as historically correct as possible (I will be hand sewing them if at all possible). So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on drafting this pattern or techniques that I will need to know!

Thank you so much

I'm just curious: Why does your dog freak out when you iron?

i don't really know, she just starts barking and crying everytime i take out the ironing board and turn on the iron. It has even gotten to the point where she will jump on the back of my knees to try to make me stop.....
