1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Super Mario sweaters on: January 13, 2012 05:48:40 PM
Wanted to show you these sweaters i knitted for my husband and son! They're both huge Mario fans, and when my son asked me to knit "something" Mario for him and his dad i could'nt say no Wink

I think they turned out pretty good considering i had only been knitting for a year and only some traditional icelandic wool sweaters, nothing complicated.. But the guys love them, so mission accomplished Cheesy

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Mario themed letters- and now a bob-omb lamp! on: January 13, 2012 07:49:59 AM
Hi there! I have been browsing this site for a couple of days and absolutely love it, lots of great ideas Smiley

I stumbled on to it while google-ing for ideas for a Mario themed bedroom for my 5 year old and was so inspired by this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=353982.0, thanks alot to the author!

I live in Iceland and here you really cant buy anything related to Mario except overpriced computer games, and occasionally Next has some T-shirts! So after seeing that post i went on a mission to find something i could use for my son's room Smiley Found wooden letters, and when i saw some wooden christmas decorations on sale i got the idea for bob-omb, pretty proud of myself!

Here is the result, my son loves it and cant wait for me to do something more for his room!

I also went to a second-hand store and to my surprise found a cheap round lamp that works perfectly for a bob-omb! Already have black spray so now all i have to do is buy a lampshade and get started Smiley
