3  The skirt that almost wasn't in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kirstb on: January 16, 2012 12:04:25 PM
Take one idea, cut out fabric, sew, decide its not how you wanted, unpick, cut, sew some more, zipper, cue the needle falling out of the machine, do the dishes, do the zipper again, sew, overlock, try on, sit down and watch hubby and step-daughter crash their racing cars on xbox:

Thanks for looking Smiley

4  summer dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kirstb on: January 13, 2012 02:18:18 PM

I can never find a dress to suit or fit so I thought why not just make one (I usually make bags or skirts for my daughter). So inspired by this tute: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77268.0

This is what I ended up with (please excuse the bad pic quality, my son and hubby stole the batteries out of my camera for the xbox controllers):

Dress:

Close up of the print:

It needs a belt so I just used a velvet ribbon and tied it round my waist.

Thanks for looking Smiley
