1  Floral Birthday Ball Gown in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Hexx on: February 25, 2013 12:51:45 PM
This is my first post on this site so here we go huh?

Every year my college has a 'Birthday Ball' in honor of George Washington and this year I decided I was going to make my dress.
I have always loved the regency style gowns and I ended up using Simplicity Pattern 4055 and modifying it. Instead of just making dress A or dress B I made a dress using the top of dress A and the bottom of dress B. Then I tried (and failed) to add pockets and I used a zipper and hook and eye closer instead of buttons. On day two of my sewing process I lost the directions and ended up basically winging the whole thing. But it turned out great! Even if I did end up having to sew up my pocket holes.

Here is a video I made on the collab channel I run with my roommate that has my day to day progress of the dress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRZ1rx4cgNY
