Okay, so I'm seriously a madwoman when it comes to amigurumi.  I thoroughly enjoy everything about it.  I did all this stuff over the course of a couple of days!
None of the patterns are my originals, except the Candy Pandapple and the Gloomy Bear.  All comments/criticism/questions welcome!  Smiley

PandaCake Pincushion

Candy Pandapple

Little Cactus (next time I'm using a lighter green, yikes!)

14  Sweet Cuppycake Baby Blankie!!! in Valentine's Day by KawaiiHolic on: February 15, 2008 01:27:00 PM

I made this blanket a long time ago, just pulled it out of the closet (excuse the wrinkles) and decided to post pics.  Its nothing special, but I loved this fabric sooooooooo incredibly much!  Its just cotton fabric backed with extremely soft minky plush!

It was one of the first baby blankets I ever made, looking back I wish I would have done a zig-zag stitch in a contrasting thread, but I can always go back and do that.

excuse the quilt underneath...

Close-up of my favorite fabric in the whole world...

Comments, questions, criticism, all are welcome!

Thanks for looking, have a fantastic day!!!   Cheesy

15  Cacao Dolce Rag Quilt! My very first Quilt!!! in Quilting: Completed Projects by KawaiiHolic on: February 15, 2008 01:21:44 PM

This is the very first quilt I have ever made. Took me about 8 hours. I was so inspired by all of this beautiful fabric, that I decided I need to learn to quilt.  Once I found out about Rag Quilts, I thought they would be a perfect match!

Close-up of fabric, the fraying is so thick, some squares look uneven, but I assure you they are all the same size!

My beautiful princess modeling her quiltie!

Comments, questions, criticism, all welcome!!!

Thanks for looking!  Have a fantastic day!!!  Wink

18  CUTE Valentine's wreath. Cheap and easy!!! in Valentine's Day by KawaiiHolic on: February 12, 2008 08:29:38 PM
I made this last year, I'm such a slacker at posting projects... Undecided

I bought a bunch of roses at the dollar store, cut the stems off.

I cut a heart out of sturdy cardboard.

Hot glued the roses to the cardboard heart, and added a cute polka dotted ribbon to hang it with.

Voila!!!  Everyone thinks I bought it until I turn it over and show them the cardboard.   Cheesy

19  Zen in my Den and Dining room (Img Heavy!!) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by KawaiiHolic on: February 12, 2008 08:13:56 PM
Okay...I'm on a roll showing off my home.  This is the last of them for now, because the other rooms are cute but nothing to brag about.  I would love to paint, but we're renters.... Undecided

Here are my dining room and den...kind of an asian/indian fusion goin on.  A lot of stuff from Target again.  I'm a total Target junkie.  Its nothing special, but its super comfy and warm, I love it.

Sorry for the poor photography.  I suck at it.

Forgive the clutter of toys....I have a two year old.  I kept moving them as I took pictures, but it got tiresome, and my daughter was crying, so I gave up.

My house is always pretty clean, but usually there is a layer of toys covering everything, kinda like a toy store took a dump.

My dining room...

I love this statue...

part of the living room, theres the toy clutter I was talking about, but usually its everywhere!

another view with dining room in back.  the pillows were the first thing I made when I learned to sew, so don't laugh!!

love seat...these are the comfiest couches ever...

wall behind love seat...

another view...

view from the door...my 2 year old is watching blue's clues

shadowbox on wall above love seat...

that's all folks!

20  My YUMMY Red and Pink Kitchen (Cupcake Heavy!!!) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by KawaiiHolic on: February 12, 2008 02:55:43 PM
Ok, so this is my first official project post.  I'm mostly a lurker and a swapper.

I have been working on my kitchen for about 6 months now, mostly just collecting things.  It started out red, then
I started buying dessert stuff (mostly cupcakes), then came the pink.  Red and pink is my favorite color combo (next comes red and aqua!)!  I love my kitchen, it makes me really happy. I can't wait to see what it looks like in another 6 months. The only bad thing about it is, it makes me want to bake, and eat.

I still have a lot of work to do, like collecting more ceramic for the top of the cabinets on the other side.  I also need to do some artwork for the walls, especially the big bare spot above my sink.  I plan on stenciling a quote above the window.  Either "Let them eat cupcakes!" -or- "Life's short, eat dessert first!"  I'm hesitant to do too much, since we are renters... Undecided

There are quite a few pics below, you're pretty much getting the grand tour.

I apologize ahead of time for my poor photography skills, its not really one of my talents.

Comments, criticism, questions, ideas, inspirations, all are welcome!!!

First off, my stove, with all its Target goodies...

a close up...

my lovely toaster oven, cupcake timer, and an amigurumi cupcake I got in a swap (props to kinderposht)...

to the left of my stove, my fav mug and a small portion of my cookbook collection...

my fav mug again, posing with my yummy oven mitt...

my valance that I made last summer with Robert Kaufman fabric...

fabric detail...

onward to the other side!!!

corner by the window, left of sink...

one of the BEST books ever written...

some cupcake dishcloths...

to the right of the sink, my lovely blender and adorable salt and pepper shakers...

now to the top o' the cabinets!

closest to window...

other side...

close up time!!

Ice cream sundae cookie jar...

Cupcake teapot...

Well, thats everything!  Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed yourself!  Wink
