have you ever been to the dollar store and seen those composition books? somehow they always remind me of "saved by the bell". i decided to pick on up the other day and found some get ribbon at walmart. turned out rather nicely.

just plan where the ribbon will go... get hot glue and glue the ribbon onto the cover. if the ribbon decides it wants to fray... use "fray check" or clear nail polish.

i actually made a purse the other day i am very proud of.
i got 4 ties from various thrift stores on adventures and sewed them together. with my very handy (ha) sewing work the ties curved to a side. it made for a very interesting purse.

the picture makes the purse's flap seems crooked, its actually not... however, made for some interesting sewing obstacles. i hate worrying about needles breaking and topstitching thick pieces of fabric. it turned out very nice.
