As the title says, this was my very first. All I have in the house is an old cardboard box, really cheap coloured paper, old books, a few scraps of ribbon, pens, pencils and paint. I wanted to keep this super simple and quite rustic looking.

It's for my beautiful husband to be. I stayed up the whole of last night making it (mostly waiting for paint to dry) and left the completed book on the pillow next to him to wake up to and he absolutely adored it. I can only post links just now.

Looks great, wish i could be that creative Sad

Also, can you walk us through how you created it? Would love to get a template and a how-to guide some day!

This is a book I made for a friend, documenting her hen weekend (though she wasn't calling it a 'hen', hence the 'big weekend' Cheesy) Smiley

So, this is a slightly different kind of scrapbooking that I've seen a lot of elsewhere on the Internet, but not much of at all here on Craftster!

The concept is very similar to the "junk journals" you might have seen. A Smash Book is just a brand name, ready made (by K and Company), spiral bound book filled with different patterned papers and photos that you use to "smash" in whatever you've got laying around. You can use it kind of like a traditional scrapbook, with more thought out layouts, or you can just stick in whatever you want, wherever you want, on the spur of the moment.

such a great idea... creativity in the moment and none of this pre-planned stuff. Awesome contribution and thanks for the idea!
