11  Retro Canvas Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by emapril on: July 17, 2006 02:29:25 PM
I made this for a swap a few weeks ago:

Close-up of the zippered pocket I'm so very proud of Smiley

I love the lining fabric... It's kind of old and rips easily, but it's soooo pretty!

Thanks for looking!

12  Re: Tote Bag Swap Gallery May June 2006 in The Swap Gallery by emapril on: July 14, 2006 12:55:27 AM
Hmm, no, I haven't recieved yet either, but I know my partner, redheadmenace, did a while ago. I thought I'd post the pictures of what I sent her since she seems to be having computer problems.

Here's the tote:

I also sent her a knitted Kirsten Dunst-y hat, face crayons in honor of the World Cup and some candy.

13  Prettypretty beads... in Beads: Discussion and Questions by emapril on: June 07, 2006 07:54:26 AM
My sister bought these beads for me when she was in France on a school trip.
They are so pretty I really don't know what to do with them! Any tips?
I'm thinking some sort of necklace, but I'm scared they'll just go to waste...

14  Re: Ferragamo Knit Bag-along? in Knitalongs by emapril on: June 07, 2006 04:05:14 AM
Tadaa! I finished this a few days ago and I think I may be in love with it... It took me a week, and I was knitting like crazy, neglecting all kinds of school work (which is why I should be working NOW and not be sitting here posting pictures...)

Sitting with cacti...

If you look closely, you'll see my first ever zippered pocket!

I did have a bit trouble with the YO's. I got pea-sized holes all over my bag! I don't know if I maybe got YO wrong from the beginning. Any tips?

15  Re: Isabeau, small and quick... anyone game? in Knitalongs by emapril on: June 07, 2006 03:58:53 AM
I started this purse a while ago, but then I realized I didn't have enough yarn to finish it.
This knitalong might just give me motivation to start a new one!

Here's how far I got:

16  The Go-Everywhere... Cardigan is taking time... in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by emapril on: June 07, 2006 03:56:06 AM
It's cute and pretty easy, but it's soooo boring. Stockinette aaaaaaall the way. It feels like I'm not getting anywhere!

Has anyone else made this? I think I might need some motivation to keep knitting this... Tongue

17  Proudly presenting my Mohair Shawl! in Knitting: Completed Projects by emapril on: February 24, 2006 12:08:39 PM
I made this in a few hours with some mohair yarn I bought because I just loved the feel of it... Kiss

I made a pattern (not very visible...) on the back just to make it less boring to knit

And it doubles as a scarf! Hurrah!

20  Tiny, green crocheted box with stars! in Crochet: Completed Projects by emapril on: February 05, 2006 04:16:02 AM
This yarn was originally meant for a knitted scarf, but I realized half way through that the scarf would be way too stiff to be wrapable... Frogged it and came up with this! Right now it contains memories from my New York trip this fall (crumpled leaves from Washington Square Park and paint chips from Brooklyn Brigde. Free stuff is good.  Wink)

Tadaa!
