1  Teesha Moore tote bag - Running theme in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by dmarie360 on: December 23, 2012 11:43:10 AM
I just finished this bag as a Christmas gift.  Why do I keep putting so much time and effort into something I don't want to get rid of in the end?!?  One of these days, I MUST make one just for me!  Sorry, some of the pictures are blurry.

Woo-hoo!  Got home last night and my package from beccas_song was here!  I feel so overwhelmed because the more I pulled out, the more there was still in the box!  I was so surprised by the variety of items, and the scones were fabulous (we had them for breakfast)!  Thanks so much!  I love every single item!  Here are the pictures:

charm bracelet with all of the women (and men standing by!)

lemon scones (yummy!)

tote bag with the Dowager Countess and her quote "What is a weekend?"  (love that line!)

Keep Calm and Blame Daisy frame

THREE Teesha Moore patches with appropriate quotes!
(can't WAIT to decide how to use these!)

And last, but not least - a paper mache' teacup with Edwardian decorations
(I've never seen anything like this- so AMAZING!)

I forgot that when mandykaye's bookmark came in, it was because the mailman brought it to my door (since it was a large envelope).... so when I went to the mailbox to get the rest of the stuff, there was ANOTHER ONE!  Yay!  This time, from jadeye.... and.... another KOI bookmark!  I love me some koi.

The picture doesn't do it justice.  The back is SO sparkly!  Thank you so much!!!

Received my wonderful KOI bookmark from mandykaye today!  And she sent me fabulous extra papers that I will definitely use in my scrapbooking/bookmark-making/paper-crafting endeavors.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  Lovely, and fun, fun, fun!  (oh, and please excuse the dirty carpet in the pictures!)

I received my bookmark from goddessgarb today.  PLUS some travel-themed stickers and extras!  Beautiful, and I really hated to open it up because the envelope was just as beautifully painted!  Thanks so much!!  LOVE it all!

7  Vampire Diaries tote bag (Teesha Moore style) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by dmarie360 on: January 16, 2012 06:34:26 AM
I just completed my very first Teesha Moore bag, inspired by sheepBlue's Harry Potter bag , and I'm SO EXCITED to share it with someone!  It's a surprise for my daughter, who won't get to see it for 2 more days.  I used every technique I could think of to make each square unique from the others.  I used transfers of images and quotes from the TV show; 3D objects like the moonstone, the diary, and the fake flower (vervain); embroidery (which I suck at); fabric paint pens (to write "doppelganger" instead of trying to embroider it); iron-on patches; and acrylic paint (to do the blood splatter).  I found two t-shirts at the Salvation Army that I was able to incorporate into the design... the "E" for Elena and the "blood bank," which obviously came off of a local blood bank donor shirt.  (You'd be surprised how many blood donor shirts are out there!)  I decided to try and make side and bottom panels so that the tote would hold more, and so I also did a lot of ripping and redoing too!  Next time I'll start with the bottom panel, make sure everything's square, and work my way up.  I also added a lining to cover up all of the knots and strings on the inside.  Now I've got to decide on a theme for my next bag, which will be for me!  Maybe Pride & Prejudice??
