1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Tapestry pillow front from tattoo! on: February 08, 2014 07:14:06 PM
Hey-lo everybody! Its been awhile since I've posted any new pillows (in short, my life went insane and therefore I went with it!) Aaaaaanyway, I wanted to share this newest creation! I'm still working on the back, but I'm very happy with how the front turned out. I took a picture of my boyfriend's chest tattoo and turned it into a pattern for a medium sized throw pillow. Sorry the picture is a little tough to see, its black on dark green. IRL its fairly easy on the eyes. I'm hoping to do some other color work with Tunisian once I get a new set of hooks and wrap my brain around how its all done. Let me know what you think of this beauty!

I. Love. These. I especially love that the maps ones are from a MI map. I'm also a Michigan gal! (Currently Lansing, but I grew up east of Flint and lived in Ann Arbor/Ypsi for awhile too!)

Oh! I didn't even realize it was backwards in the picture! Its only because I took the pictures with my webcam. In real life, its not backwards, I promise.

Hey everyone!

I have a friend with a wedding coming up and wanted to create her and her wife something that would be useful but also represent them and their wedding. So I decided to make another pillow (I do believe I'm becoming obsessed!) with their home state of NY on the front in their wedding colors. It turned out wonderfully!

The back isn't yet done, but it will have their names and their wedding date on it! I'm quite pleased with myself!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Wool Owl Charm on: January 23, 2012 09:13:47 PM
OHMYGOSH this is absolutely ADORABLE! As someone who is obsessed with owls, I LOVE this little guy! Oh my gosh I would snuggle him all the time!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Hoggy Warty HOGWARTS pillow! on: January 19, 2012 08:57:04 PM
Thanks everyone!

It took me about 3 weeks to do the whole thing and put it together because I came back to school in the middle of finishing and  I had less time to spend on it. I created the graph from a cross stitch graph I found online. I had to do a TON of altering, especially around the top and the H and it had animals in the squares of house colors which I took out. I did use some free graph software to alter it down for the blanket or else it would've been even bigger than it already is.

Hi everyone!!

This is my first post! I finally finished this tapestry crochet pillow tonight. It's for my girlfriend for our anniversary. Shes a total HP nerd and we both adore the idea of Hogwarts so I decided I would create this gem for her and I wanted to share it all with you! I'm turning the graph into a GIGANTIC pixel-blanket, which will take me the next ba-zillion years, but if I ever finish it, I will share it will all of you! Also, please excuse my AWFUL pictures as I am currently without a camera other than my webcam...

Here is just the front panel before it was put together

The front ALL finished!

The back (with me being Vanna White, of course!)

Update: After a few days of consideration I decided I could never finish the HUGE blanket I was planning, so I edited it down to a more simplistic representation of the crest and will be sure to share when its done!

Yay! All these pixel blankets are making me SO happy. I've just started mine, but its a HUGE undertaking. 4,090 1 inch squares all together. Yes, I know I'm crazy.
