You'll like the Wagon Wheel flea market- good stuff and cheap!! Beware of the heat already, though. I went today- sooo hot.
There is a thrift store in St Petersburg- it is a hospice thrift store. I'll get the exact address and post again. They know the price of things- but they do get good stuff.
Happy hunting!!!
24  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Doggie Beds on: May 18, 2005 05:47:34 PM
Thanks so much for the inspiration guys!! I will try to post 'pics as soon as I get something made.
I am thinking about doing a poodle shaped bed and dachshund shaped- those are my 2 doggies. Or at least pillows in the shape of the doggies.
Again, many thanks....
25  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Doggie Beds on: May 16, 2005 03:35:04 PM
I was wondering if anyone has made a bed for their dogs. So far I have thrown blankets down on the floor- then ended up bringing them in bed with me anyways.
My hope is to see some cool beds people have made- or hear about their experiences. I am needing to sleep without poodles tangled up in my sheets, and maybe if I can make a great bed, this will happen.
Thanks in advance....

28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: You talented folks can do this 2!!!! on: May 07, 2005 02:10:17 PM
I sold on Ebay last year around Halloween, and did quite well. Let me know if/when you want to give it a try, and I'll see if I can pass on some tips. One thing to keep in mind, is that you can start your item at whatever price you decide, so it's not as if you'll get screwed. I just love that so many crafty people now have this outlet for making some money- how else to get money for more craft supplies??!!
29  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: Taking Requests on: May 07, 2005 01:34:15 PM
I would love to see a finished product that was made using 1 of the stencils!!
30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: You talented folks can do this 2!!!! MISUNDERSTOOD??!! on: May 07, 2005 01:27:24 PM
I hope my initial post was not taken as saying that the girl was not deserving of what she was getting for her item. My point was that with all the talent I have seen here, some of you should really think about getting your stuff onto Ebay. Obviously people are seeing and willing to pay for the talent.
So... I totally agree that people are deserving of good money for their wares- more so than the usuals that are sold in stores.
