1  Re: something simple for a friend in Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage by pajama_mama1 on: June 13, 2005 12:15:35 PM
Ooh, to go along with the flowers suggestion.  For mother's day a friend of mine gave me a vase that she had glued tissue paper to.  The paper is black & white, old hollywood style.  It is soooooooo beautiful  Maybe you could look into decorative paper to spruce up a cheap vase.   I'll go take pics........

She filled it with yellow flowers.  One of the best gifts I have EVER received!

2  My praises to Zombie Teeth in Stenciling: Completed Projects by pajama_mama1 on: June 13, 2005 06:43:09 AM
Praises to Zombie Teeth because every time I had a question about how-to, she'd already answered it somewhere on the boards.  Thanks!  Yesterday I made my first attempt at stencilling!  I was feeling pretty impatient because I still hadn't found freezer paper so I used card stock instead.  I just made a quick & easy stencil since it was my first time & all.  Well, I stencilled the shirt, life got busy & I completely forgot to take the stencil off until this morning.  It was stuck.  I got most of it off, but will the small bits of paper come off in the wash (pic 3)?
I chose gnarly because my boyfriend has been saying it 20 or so times a day for the last couple of weeks & it is beginning to drive me crazy!  Oh, & I found freezer paper last night so now I can get started on the 3 shirts I'm making him for Father's Day.

3  Father's Day Soap: packaging question in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by pajama_mama1 on: May 31, 2005 11:13:15 AM
Here's the MP soap I made for just about every dad I know.  I used the recipe found here:
http://www.soapdelicatessen.com/soapmaking/soaprecipe/meltandpour/peanut/ but modified it a bit.  So any suggestions on how to wrap them?  Since it's durn near edible I thought packaging it like food might be cute.  Not sure how, though.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

4  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by pajama_mama1 on: May 27, 2005 11:35:49 AM
Awful picture taken last week right after I got it.  I just grabbed my camera to attempt to take a better shot, battery exhausted.  Grabbed the back-up & it is dead too.  Rotten luck!  Anyway, the star is black & a color somewhere between magenta & burgundy, got one on each of my luv handles.

Thank-you so much, smrfchic!!  Thanks to you my son's friend will be getting this halter for her 3rd birthday!  I still need to line the cups but how cute is that?  This is my first attempt at posting pics so I hope it works.
