15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Lemon Candy Dott on: January 29, 2013 09:16:00 AM
This is really just a muslin as I try to finagle a high-waisted skirt from a wiggle dress retro pattern, but I liked how it turned out!

More info at my blog (I hope I link it proper this time, lol)

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New Vintage Oxymoron (Big Moron) on: January 13, 2013 03:10:31 PM

This is my newest endevor, because I rock the red lips and look good in natural waisted things. Its a 1942 pattern, and is SUPER easy. Like, it took me maybe three hours? And thats with a toddler.

Go me!

20  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Regency Nieces on: August 05, 2012 01:40:58 PM

A regency era inspired dress for my niece, who is staying over the summer. No pattern, I studied a variety of historical regency gowns from the early 1800's and 'winged' it. I will probably post all the production photos in a little while, just wanted to put this up. Its a pale salmony lace with a breezy fabric as the overskirt, edged in ribbon. Sleeves need finishing and Im going to add a wider ribbon about the waist. Pretty good for a first try.

Oh, also, it was all hand sewn. Here are side and back pictures. Smiley
