21  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / colouring? on: October 03, 2005 06:22:49 AM
Hey, sorry, i posted this in the other board, but then i decided that this one was probably more appropriate. How do you colour your melt and pour soap? Do you buy something special, or is there a homemade way? Thanks

Hey, i'm planning on making my first venture into melt + pour soap, and i was wondering what you use to colour it? Do you buy it? Where? Or do you use something else? Sorry if this has been posted before, i couldnt see it.

23  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / what do you call it? on: September 23, 2005 08:37:00 AM
I had this GREAT idea a few minutes ago, but i cant think what the name is  Embarrassed. I thought we could do one of those things where people take old clothes and swap them,  but as a postal swap, i thought it could work where everyone posts a list of stuff they have, and other people can 'claim' it. Any takers?

26  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Bunch of stuff, perfume bottles, boxes and shoes on: September 12, 2005 08:38:04 AM
I have a bunch of stuff and noo clue what to do with it, so any suggestions are muchio aprreciated.
#1) A chanel chance perfume bottle, flat and round with a square top and 'chanel chance' written on it.
#2) About 4 pairs of shoes that dont fit any more, there is a greeney coloured pair of cord converse lookalikes, black dollybar school shoes, trainers, and white flip flops, which *do* fit, but are extremely nocomfortable, and waaay too heavy.
#3) A very big plastic box that i keep my craft stuff in, it's clear plastic with a see-thru blue plastic lid, and very boring.
#4) A bedside table/stool, light wood and slatted. Any ideas to brighten it up? My room's theme is kinda reddy goldy bollywood/africany.

thankoo xoxox
27  U.K. AND IRELAND / SCOTLAND / Travelling journal anyone? on: September 04, 2005 05:46:32 AM
Someone somewhere had the idea of a travelling journal, and i reeeeeally wanted to join, but there were the usuall problems ie all US, so there would have been a lot of postage, soooooooooo would anyone be interested in a travelling journal within the UK? This person was just asking people to write a little about themselves, and send it back to the person who started it, and i was thinking we could start off like that, and if it worked well, just keep going...
Sorry to post this in England and scotland, but i figured that you guys might be interested, and prolly wouldnt look in the England board.

29  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / 14th Party, but a bit of a prob. on: August 29, 2005 07:38:28 AM
I've been planning a really big party for my birthday since, like, the day after my last birthday, BUT, i've hit a problem. I've become ill with CFS, and i'm not going to be banother better by my birthday, so i need another idea for it. I cant really have a dancey party, or at least i could , but i couldn't dance which would be fairly stupid, and it would tire me out one hell of a lot. I did want something along the lines of a bollywood theme, but i cant really see that happening, i'd quite like a biggish party, cause i'm not gonna be @ school and i really want to see my friends, but i cant really think of what to do that isn't dancey, or crafty (they arent that crafty *sob*). Oh, and also i cant really have a sleepover...
thanx in advance

30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Helping others craftalong on: August 29, 2005 07:24:22 AM
Would anyone be interested in a helping others craftalong? I know there are lots of sites where you can make things to be sent to people who need them, operation christmas child, post pals etc... so, this is just a gauge of interest atm, so no month by month plan, just to see if anyone is interested, and if anyone knows the names of any more sites please. Also we could have one month where we craft for ill friends/ relatives....
