I don't think it clashes with your skin at all! It's really pretty, and really suits you. You should wear it out!

The colour that that is showing up as on my screen is gorgeous, even if it isn't accurate! Can't help on the fabric front though, sorry.
34  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Topsy Turvey Cinderella on: February 23, 2008 05:11:51 PM
Oh wow, that brings back so many wonderful memories! My grandma made me one of those for my 5th or 6th birthday, and I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. My barbies collected dust from then onwards...
35  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: "My Country/Region Doesn't Have That" Round 10 on: February 23, 2008 02:13:12 PM
I'd like to claim Calvero for British stuff

I'm Happychick, and i've been approved, this is my first claim

1) US! Candy (but none with gelatin please), magazines (crafty and otherwise, used is just fine), Sharpies, Freezer paper (I would love you *so* much), fabric, music, anything crafty pretty much (and when I said used is fine, that applies to craft stuff too! Not candy so much... Cheesy). Oh, and tacky souvenirs would be awesome too.

2) Asia: Cute stuff on the whole, fashion magazines, candy, fabric, postcards

3) Specific region of the US: Boston! I'm headed there this summer on a complete whim, I was read 'make way for ducklings' as a child, and when my mum asked where I wanted to go this summer, that was what sprung to mind! So tourist leaflets, tshirts, anything you perceive as Boston-ish pretty much!

4) Canada: Ditto the US pretty much! I loveee maple syrup in candy, so that'd be cool. Not so shot on maple leaves though...

5) Aaand of course, any country would be lovely! You probably gathered that anything I can read, eat or craft with would be greatly appreciated!

Also, weird request, but i'm a huge Amelie fan, so any leftover photobooth photos would rock my socks. A lot!
36  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: incredible. on: February 22, 2008 11:22:41 AM
I've loved it since forever, and I've been thinking about it a lot recently... I think it looks pretty easy, but I've never found chiffon that has lived up to that amazing colour, which is a large part of how much I love it! If I ever made it, I'd remove the funny tie thing at her hips, and make it halterneck (like in the book.) I have an idea of how to make it that (with the halterneck), if you want I could sketch it out on paint?
37  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: Promalong - Making your own Prom dress? Join the club! on: February 21, 2008 04:43:05 PM
I love keira's dress in Atonement! Buut, as I'm not as tall as her, I don't think it'd look as wonderful on me. The deep green goes really well with her hair too...
38  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: RESIN on: February 21, 2008 04:21:12 PM
Huh, I just looked that up, it looks really quick and easy with a microwave... Thanks!
39  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: RESIN on: February 21, 2008 01:20:01 PM
I have "resined" dried pressed flowers with pretty good results. You just can't fuss with them or the colors will run.

Hmm. Thank you both! I was thinking about poppies, but I'm not sure they'd look as good dried...
40  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Little Red Boat in the Big Black Sea (FO #2! Plus 2 bonus quilts!) on: February 21, 2008 12:52:56 PM
That first one is stunning. I've always been put off quilting by the cutesy/quaint aura that surrounds it, but that's really... modern.
