I'm making a record bag for my brother, an aspiring DJ (at 14!), quilts for both sets of grandparents and a doctor who scarf for my other brother. I'm also buying some hand-stamped silver rings from etsy for my two BFFs, but haven't decided what to have stamped on them. My short-list of poncy latin sayings is this  -

The other fabric is a heavy red matte silk, it's gorgeous, but as I said, pricey.

Because I'm really paranoid about cutting into my £12/m ($24/m) fabric without checking my (self drafted) pattern works! I grossly overestimated how much bias-binding I'd need to make, and have about 10 meters of the damned stuff left over, so at least I'll know not to repeat that mistake...



The sweetheart neckline isn't really wonky, but my dress form Vicky and I are having some issues. I suspect I have a case of the terrible twos on my hands...

About me : I'm 16, and in the UK, I've tried pretty much any craft that you can throw at me, but I especially enjoy sewing, and hope to work in the fashion industry. I love bright colours and shy away from pastels, my favourite colour is red (or maybe navy), and the only colour I don't like at all is yellow. I'm not really into cutesy or decorative-only things on the whole, if I had to describe my style it would be colourfully-preppy! I read a lot, but don't watch much on TV or at the cinema.

- A new handbag, since my current one recently died! A sturdy bag, big enough to fit an A4 binder, in a dark colour would be great, felted wool doubly so!
