21  Re: How to make this style bust? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Happychick on: June 19, 2007 01:04:10 PM
I think you could make something like this, if you made two of 1 and two is the torso area. You could sew a little of the ties together too, to ensure you didn't flash too much flesh Tongue

22  Re: Fashion Doodling Anyone? in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Happychick on: June 02, 2007 04:58:12 PM
Have been watching this thread for a while, and decided to have a play with some watercolours (and acrylics, but not on the fashion doodle per se) this afternoon. The results :

With my construction notes for myself

On it's own

23  Therapy-bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Happychick on: May 10, 2007 06:09:11 PM
My grandfather just had a heart attack, and we're driving up to London to see him tommorow, but with all the stuff whizzing round my head, I found it impossible to sleep tonight, so i give you:

My therapy bag. Therapy as in theraputic to make, rather than... carrying stuff to a therapy session i guess Tongue It's very floppy, but I like it that way, it's a manifestation of how i currently feel. Or something.

And the lining...

I got my fantastic ATCs from Kurtzie today - can you believe they're her first! They're going to be going in a rainbow ATC book I'm making, so hopefully I can post pics of them in their new home soon, here they are on their own for now -

Thanks again Kurtzie!

Onethenice - that goddess is beautiful, i took on a massive project in trying to cover every surface of the first beaded doll I made in beads, and fizzled out rather once i'd done the front....

The crochet hook roll I made shootingstar - glad you liked it Smiley

26  Bright, twirly first skirt... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Happychick on: February 18, 2007 04:40:36 PM
which hangs awfully Undecided It looked rather different in my mind's eye, and i'm not entirely convinced that the fabrics match now it's put together. I am however extremely proud of my first finished garment that is both wearable (as in well fitting), and that i designed and drafted myself! It closes with a zipper, and will be fully lined when i'm less excited about it being finished (or looking finished at least)!

27  Re: FEBRUARY ATC GALLERY in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by Happychick on: February 08, 2007 01:09:24 PM
Hey, i'm new to this board (but not entirely to ATCs, i've just been busy since it was created) but today i had a... burst of creativity? Actually i had a lot of history notes to write up, and my pretties sidetracked me Tongue

So, this is (almost) a rainbow of ATCs, orange and pink aren't quite done in this picture, but i put them in anyway for continuity...

...and the pink one finished....

and another three i did a while back and didn't post Smiley

28  Re: Ongoing Offer What You Have (Crafts/Supplies) Swap - Dec. 24-Jan. 24 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Happychick on: January 22, 2007 03:16:21 PM
I'd like to claim artsiefartsie for the jcrew fabric and the celestial fabric please (I hope that's what you meant by two lots, if not please let me know!)

This is my first claim.

I'm offering...

Glass beads -

Glass Pendant, sorry no chain, it's just hung on yarn in the pic. Oh, and it's not suitable for vegetarians, hence why I want it off my hands!

Gift boxes - Pick any combination of them... -

Set of three beaded 'flower' ATCs

Selection of greetings cards -

30  Textiles project(s) in Completed Projects by Happychick on: December 07, 2006 03:41:36 PM
I veeerry rarely post projects here, mainly because i veeerry rarely remember/can be bothered to take pictures Grin

But I wanted a visual record of my Textiles GCSE work anyway, so... here goes. Two projects.

The first is my story sack, which is where you pick a book (''ten out of bed'', it's like ten in a bed but not) and then theme a sack... thingy on it. It goes to either a primary school class, or a special school class, i cant remember which it was this year.. I'll probably get marked down for its lack of bright/contrasting colours (for stimulating... stuff), but i was going for more mamas and papas than fisher price Tongue

Cubey toy thing (it says ten-out-of-bed on the sides), book and reverse side (touchy-feely stars. Yes, stars are shades of red .)

Front! I'm thinking maybe i should have clothed the kid now, but... it's done now, so he'll just have to be cold.

Aaand the second project, which was something christmassy, either christmas themed, or for a present. First i wanted to do an advent calender, then i realised it wasn't long enough 'till the start of december, then i wanted to do a stocking, but i couldnt find stuff to quilt it in my diddy little town. Batting, and tasteful-ish fat quarters being the main problems Roll Eyes

So i present to you... coasters. XD *snicker*

It's the criss-cross coasters pattern, from... well, a blog, somewhere in cyberspace! Let me know if it was yours, and i'll credit you. It was easy peasy, and looks complicated enough to impress my textiles teacher Tongue
