She just goes crazy for the wool.  I did salvage the head though.  Still sad.  =/

I'm new here, so I'd thought I'd post a completed project, even though I don't have any recent dolls. ( I am promising myself to change this soon! )  This was my first needle felted figure. Since then my basset hound ate her, I was heartbroken.

I'm a newbie - but I'm totally in =)   Give me a bit to rummage and figure out what I'm going to do, but I'm excited.  Maybe a lap quilt?   Dunno, we will see!

Aww thanks guys!   I just posted my first finished project in Completed Projects!

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First project posted! ( Be Gentle ) Dr. Who Pillow, Christmas Gift. on: January 02, 2012 09:02:09 AM

I have a rule about homemade Christmas presents.  I only give one out a year, so as not to overwhelm myself as the clock ticks down - and so I rotate and a different person gets one every year.

This year I made one of my favorite nerdy ladies this TARDIS pillow.  It was a fun project, and actually I'm trying to think up my next pillow to start tonight.

So I thought I'd introduce myself.   I am a code monkey with an underused art degree living in SE Louisiana.  I'm self employed as a web designer, but like to get away from the monitor from time to time to sit in front of my sewing machine...and I like cheese.

So yeah....Hi!   Really excited to get involved in some swaps and discussions etc.!
