1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: I always wanted a pop up camper. Didn't you? on: February 09, 2014 12:58:53 PM
I had to come out of my eternal lurking to express my amazement!  This is the coolest thing I've seen in ages!  It makes me want to shrink down to two inches tall so I can go and live in it.  <3

That would be a fun little decoration to hang somewhere unexpected.  Like a medicine cabinet.  You'd know by the screams that your guest was a snooper!  ^_^
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / I need some ideas - cutting into an aluminum PSP case! on: June 22, 2012 11:32:00 PM
I've got an unusual question, but I hope somebody can help me out.  ^^

I keep my PSP in a tight-fitting aluminum case.  I need a small window to be cut out of the top so I can fit my camera extension there.   The aluminum is roughly one milimeter thick.  What's the best tool to use for detail work on metal of this thickness?  Are there places that rent it out or should I search for somebody who already knows what they're doing?

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Video Game (and Other Nerdy) Knitting Patterns on: April 22, 2012 02:53:25 AM
Hm, well, it's not quite as feminine, but there's also a pattern for Cloud's sweater:  http://turbochic536.blogspot.com/2006/11/free-pattern.html

Sweater, vest, cardi...  whatever that thing is.  XD

6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Latest News / Re: 04/01/12 - Craftster Goes Katster! on: April 01, 2012 06:03:43 PM
This is the second place today that's gone to the cats.  I wonder if we only THINK it's a joke, but the cats actually chose today for their hostile takeover because we'd be off guard?

That is the best present one brony could give another...  *sniffle*
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: YYH - Urameshi Team on: January 31, 2012 12:27:03 AM
That's some very neat knitting. Did you make the pattern yourself?

Thanks!  ^^  I did; they're based on some animated gifsI made forever and a half ago. Lately I've been trying to see just how much detail I can squeeze into the tiniest amount of space without losing a character's identity.  Luckily these guys are practically color-coded!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / YYH - Urameshi Team on: January 30, 2012 08:33:51 PM

Yu Yu Hakusho was my childhood. From 12 until 20, I ate, slept, and breathed this series. Even though its embarassing to look back on, I loved arguing with other fans about pairings, comparing subbed to dubbed, drawing fanart, printing fanfics I was WAY too young to be reading at the school library and praying I wouldnt be caught

In honor of those good times, I felt it was right to knit all four of the team, even if it makes this cozy an odd size. ^^
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Yarn Pom Pom Hair Tie(w. Tutorial Link) on: January 10, 2012 09:31:28 PM
They are lovely round pompoms. Mine always seem to come out flat.

It might be the yarn you use.  I just made two - one with RHSS and one with Caron Simply Soft.  The SS ball was flat and looked more like fur when teased out.  The RHSS came out with much more bounce and fluff.
