1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Felted Fall Purse on: November 10, 2005 10:24:31 PM
I made this purse for a swap on another board. Its a felted body out of Bernat Lana, motif flowers (sewn on) put of Kathmandu Greenlands Collection DK, and the swirls are Berroco Denim (embroidered). All thats left to do is lining...Pics are a bit dark...Thanx for looking.
2  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Ferragamo Bag on: September 13, 2005 02:45:17 PM
Just from looking at the photo, obviously, lol...I think thats its all HDC. The thing is to see if its worked in the round or by turning....Maybe make a swatch (one in the round, one by turning) to see how the pattern repeats and if it matches. I dont think that is a seam on the sides per se, it might be how the bag is gathered on the sides. But I think the top stitching as well the corners are either cluster stitch or granule stitch. The corners are definitely seperate pieces as well at the opening. So you're looking at  crocheted 5-6 pieces altogether no matter if its worked in the round or not.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Grin

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Camo Tank on: September 12, 2005 02:10:14 AM
The yarn is sport weight so its not bulky or overly thick but it has that major itchy factor. When I am trying to follow through with an new idea/concept I tend to use cheaper yarns for garmets first go round. Not knocking redheart its great for lots of stuff.

Thanx for the comments btw!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Camo Tank on: September 11, 2005 06:04:44 PM
This is tank made of sports weight redheart. Sadly, I was only able to find five skeins and this top took two and one half. Guess the camo print is discontinued in SW.
it fits a size large. You can were it with a tube top or not, the top is close enough mesh that its not peekaboo.

Thanx for looking!

Is that Dot's extendible purse pattern? I love the colors!

No its not Dots purse...not all even the same concept....her's is much better thought through.

As far as holding shape, it does cuz its stiff as all heck on the body. The only floppy part is the closure.
Thanx for the comments! Grin

It's my own pattern. I'm in the process of writing up 4 as I type, (it's not my fave part of crocheting)....I usually list free patterns on my blog, on the side bar.

LOL Alisha...Dumpling is fine no runs today! Although he did do naughty things to some Tiki yarn...

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bucket Style Purse on: August 30, 2005 03:42:38 PM
This purse was made per request. I really like it more than I thought I would. It large enough to hold, a cell phone, wallet, glasses, compact, and a few extra. (I dont even carry a purse so what do I know  Roll Eyes )

Very durable, made with three strands of RedHeart Super Saver and trimmed in "flame-ish" fun fur.

Thanx for looking! Grin

The color is actually peach...which I'm not fond of, or any pastels for that matter. But it was on sale for $2.00, and figured for an experiment, it wasn't alot of mulah invested. However now I can see the potential of it , $7.00 a skein isn't too bad.

Katrina was indeed a hell of a storm.
And katrina the yarn is wonderful stretchy stuff...great for a top.

Sorry about the wonky colors...must be the cam or the picture taker! Roll Eyes

Thanx for looking!  Grin
