1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / "Peace With Child" on: April 06, 2012 11:31:24 AM
Hey Y'all,
This is the first painting I have done in a while, and I created it for my yoga teacher who is about 5 months pregnant.  Check out my blog for a better story Smiley

Done with acryllic paint on 11x14 canvas.

*inspired from a link less nameless picture on pinterest that I'd love to give credit to if you can tell me where the image is originally from*

Hey Y'all
I finished my first felted project tonight.  I made a lunch bag for work!  It is knit with Cascade 220 on 11 (us) needles.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Recovered Craft Chair! on: December 27, 2011 12:54:17 PM
I have desperately needed a chair to use to sit at my new craft desk.  I was lugging the computer chair back and forth across the room every time I needed to change locations!  I went in search of a cute chair and found this dingy little chair for $6 at Good Will.

After a little bit of love, here is my new chair!!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Goodwill Chandelier on: December 27, 2011 10:49:18 AM
I decided I wanted a fancy-shmancy chandelier over the Jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom.  I started looking around, but holy moly chandeliers are expensive!!  So I started looking, and found this chandelier at Goodwill.

A few coats of paint and new light bulbs later, and it has found its new home!!

Check out my blog post about this transformation!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Geometric Patterned Wall on: December 27, 2011 10:40:34 AM
Recently I decided that I wanted an accent wall in our master bedroom.  I was inspired by geometric shapes!  Here is the finished wall!

It took a lot of time (about 7 hours total), a lot of blue painters tape, and a lot of patience!! I specifically measured each of my pieces of tape to make uniform boxes, used a laser level to make straight lines, and then got my paint on!!

Check out this blog post to see the "tute", and more pictures! http://beunruffled.blogspot.com/2011/09/bedroom-makeover.html
