1  "Peace With Child" in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Beunruffled on: April 06, 2012 11:31:24 AM
Hey Y'all,
This is the first painting I have done in a while, and I created it for my yoga teacher who is about 5 months pregnant.  Check out my blog for a better story Smiley

Done with acryllic paint on 11x14 canvas.

*inspired from a link less nameless picture on pinterest that I'd love to give credit to if you can tell me where the image is originally from*

5  Re: Favorite Color Swap 2012 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Beunruffled on: March 02, 2012 10:41:38 PM
Hey yall!! I actually recieved my package yesterday from iliveonarainbow, but I have been working crazy hours (3p-3a!) and am just now able to sit down and upload pics!!  I absolutely loved it, my partner did such a great job!!
My two favorite colors are Teal and Orange, and she did an awesome job giving me both!! Check it out!!

I got a beautiful canvas that she painted....wow how talented!! I absolutely love it! She also made me a teal vase.....and loook at those orange leaves!!  They are actually real sticks from her yard and the leaves are felt that are sewn on! How unique.  These found an immediate spot on my mantle!  Also, she is a very talented jewelry maker, and made those beautiful starfish earrings for me! I am so excited because my best friend is getting married in May, and I can't wait to wear them to her Florida beach wedding!!

Thank you iliveonarainbow again so much! I loved getting your package and crafting for you!!  Thanks for being my first official swap partner!

6  Re: Craft This Tote Round 2! - Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Beunruffled on: January 17, 2012 02:15:23 PM
So, LeslieHH is the BEST!!!!! I know I'm not officially part of the swap but she was nice enough to take on a newbie like me for a personal swap!!  I got my package today! I wanted to show off all of my goodies!  She totally captured my personality!

Here is my absolutely beautiful morsbag--how perfect!! I am in love with anything with ruffles!  She also put a zipper bag on the inside!

The next thing in my package was this amazing zipper pouch, which I can't wait to fill!  It will definitely be going in any purse that I use!

She also made these beautiful baskets!!  I didn't even know you could make baskets like this! I obviously have a lot to learn about sewing!  She got my favorite colors exactly right!  Teal and orange rock!

And, last but not least, CHOCOLATE!

Thanks so much LHH!!!! I will get your package in the mail as soon as I can!!

I can't believe how fast this filled up!! What a cool swap.  Well, I am not a seamstress by any means......and so I am even more thankful for Miz Leslie for doing a personal swap with me!!  This being my first swap ever, and since I can't officially swap for a few more weeks, I thought I would do some practice to make sure I could sew a straight line!!  Sooooo.....without further ado...drum roll please... please welcome the FIRST bag I have ever sewn in my LIFE!!!

Can't wait to see what everyone else does for their partners!!

8  Recovered Craft Chair! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Beunruffled on: December 27, 2011 12:54:17 PM
I have desperately needed a chair to use to sit at my new craft desk.  I was lugging the computer chair back and forth across the room every time I needed to change locations!  I went in search of a cute chair and found this dingy little chair for $6 at Good Will.

After a little bit of love, here is my new chair!!

10  Goodwill Chandelier in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Beunruffled on: December 27, 2011 10:49:18 AM
I decided I wanted a fancy-shmancy chandelier over the Jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom.  I started looking around, but holy moly chandeliers are expensive!!  So I started looking, and found this chandelier at Goodwill.

A few coats of paint and new light bulbs later, and it has found its new home!!

Check out my blog post about this transformation!
