1  babydoll dress (emily temple cute) in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by buki on: September 16, 2011 11:15:41 AM
I really love the cut of this style of dress. Particularly the first and the picture on the right.

But how do I go about drafting this pattern or are there patterns out there similar to this? I'm actually pretty beginner at drafting my own stuff so I made a quick sketch of what I assume would look like.

I also have this Japanese pattern book and am wondering if I could just follow this and adjust it by having more fabric for the skirt portion.

2  Bunny Amigurumi :3 in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by buki on: February 19, 2008 04:55:10 PM
originally i just wanted a small ball shape amigurumi pin cushion with a face but i ended up wanting to do more with it when an idea struck me. "hey i want to make a cute bunny!" so i did. i used some techniques i learned from Elisabeth D's book, Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute with just the pose-able arms, construction of the ears, and the use of blush/eye shadow for the pink areas. everything else i just winged it.

my first completed amigurumi doll Smiley

5  for the horde! (blizzcon '07 keychains -> earrings) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by buki on: September 27, 2007 04:00:46 PM
for those who are unfamiliar of the horde and blizzcon, all you need to know is World of Warcraft Tongue

so like my bf and my sister handed me their keychains since they never put them to use and then i thought they'd make cute earrings. so i bought some sterling silver hooks, wire and swarovski crystals and this is how they turned out Smiley

they also glow in the dark and under black light ^_^

7  Re: mini scarfs! or scarflettes in Crochet: Completed Projects by buki on: August 28, 2007 01:27:01 PM
thanks again everyone n_n well i found a tutorial i made about 2-3 years ago but it's a tie around version. some of you might like this more than the current one. the pattern for the green part of the scarf is all knitted btw. a crochet version will work out too i think...

http://nekoknits.blogspirit.com/album/knittings_patterns/jq_sugar_pat.3.html

other than that, the differences are that the current version has a k1 p1 stitch while the one in the link is in stockinette which ends up curling even after blocking. i decided to use k1 p1 in the current one because it won't curl, it's thicker and both sides look the same, although i had to cast on more stitches (9 stitches instead of 5). the leafs in the first version is only one sided so there is a purl side exposed. for the current version after the 3 stitch i-cord, i would cast on 3 extra stitches and work in the round to make the leaf double sided (requires 3 dpns).

i also no longer use that flower pattern in the link provided in that page. i basically ended up making my own but didn't write it down. sorry x_x;

8  mini scarfs! or scarflettes (5 new pg. 6) in Crochet: Completed Projects by buki on: August 21, 2007 09:12:13 AM
here's my collection of little scarfies that i made Smiley

strawberry cheesecake colored

shooting stars!

cherry blossom branch

the scarf that wraps around is actually done in 1x1 knit ribbing and i-cord while the flowers and decorations were done in crochet.

9  dangly chiyogami brooches (they go jingle too) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by buki on: July 04, 2007 12:17:07 AM
i made a bunch of little stitch marker charm things for knitting then i also had a few unfinished wood pieces of hearts and stars (which i wanted to make pendants out of for necklaces) and pretty chiyogami paper i picked out just for the hell of it. so instead of making stitch markers i was thinking of combining all these together and this is pretty much what i got.

not a lot of variation but that's pretty much all the beads i had as far as matching with the paper. n_n; and i only finished two.

i'm open to suggestions in making them fun looking. :3

10  my first recon shirt :) frilly sleeves in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by buki on: December 04, 2006 12:20:22 AM
i wanted some new t-shirts from metropark (love their Ts but wow they're expensive) but i wanted to save up money for my dear bf's christmas present. then i remembered my bf had a few XL shirts that he rarely ever wears because XL isn't big enough for him. so he gave me his old gaming shirts such as this one, "Things you learn from video games." the pattern/idea originally came from T-shirt Makeovers by Sistahs of Harlem. i think it came out pretty cute and my bf thinks so too. too bad i'll only be able to wear it during the summer XD;;
