21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Holiday scrapbook on: December 08, 2005 03:39:22 AM
In a nutshell, went to Dubai, here's the resulting scrapbook! Btw if any Craftsters live there/are going there, there's a scrapbooking shop in the Crown Plaza Hotel on Sheik Zayad Road which is where I got some of my stuff from, its cool!

The Burj Al Arab

Pics from the flat balcony. The one on the top left is the view down!

The mountain road on the way to Fujairah

The oldest mosque in the UAE including a lovely pic of me and my mum wearing..... I dunno what they're called, can anyone enlighten me?

So yeah, here they are!
22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Christian/LoveJesus Swap? on: December 06, 2005 11:41:27 PM
I just thought that there are quite a few Christians on Craftster so we should have some swapping goodness to spread the word! This was started on the 'lovejesus bag' thread by arrhythmia (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=52256.0;topicseen) and I just thought that it would be cool for Christian Craftsters to unite!

Anyone interested?
23  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Art GCSE Top on: November 18, 2005 12:35:09 AM
Basically, this is what I made for my art GCSE (I dunno what any of the other countries equivilant is, but they're the exams you take at the end of secondry school, when you're 15-16).

The theme was 'Underneath and Overhead'. The top's made out of silk, which I painted to be an abstract waterfall with a lightning bolt through it. I did use a pattern, but I can't remember which one, I'm sure I can find out if anyone's amazingly interested. I like it, but I dunno if it's particularly good. But hey, I got an A overall so can't complain!

What d'you think?

PS Sorry bout the weird faces!
24  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Song lyrics swap? on: November 15, 2005 01:10:25 PM
Ok Craftsters, the point in this would to be to craft someone some things according to their favourite song lyrics eg for a Green Day fan, a tshirt with an American flag and 'American Idiot' stencilled on it, or something like that.
Interested?
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Yay! First ever corset! on: October 21, 2005 03:11:45 AM
I'm so proud of this, even if it does fit a bit oddly. But hey, that can be fixed next time! Here it is!

Close-up

And as much of a back view as you're gonna get!

I <3 it, how bout you?
26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Style Swap on: October 20, 2005 12:05:06 PM
Right, the style swap does exactly what it says on the tin - each person makes/customises either an item of clothing or an accessory in their own style, so it's something they would personally wear. The only input the receiver can give is something that they wouldn't wear for good reasons eg a short skirt cos they're uncomfortable showing their legs. So hopefully, everyone will end up with something they wouldn't normally wear! Anyone interested?
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Disney swap 2? on: October 18, 2005 11:16:08 AM
Hey everyone! My lovely boyfriend *sigh* bought me Aladdin on DVD for our first anniversary so now I'm in a very Disney-y mood! I wasn't in the first Disney swap but would anyone be interested in participating in a second one? I may be able to organise but I can't promise anything. So, anyone up for it (swapping and/or organising)?
28  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Quoting shoes on: September 26, 2005 05:01:47 AM
Hey! Well, to start at the beginning of the story, I was desperate for some Converse All Stars, but didn't have the money. So I found some looie-likes on the net, bought them and thought, "Hmmm..... these are too plain, what do I do to make them groovier?" And the answer was..... write all over them!

.

A close up on one of the sides...

And my favourite quote...

On the left shoe (as you're looking at them) it says "Before you critise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes." Then on the right it says "That way, when you critise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes!" Hehehe!

Hope you like! Wink
