1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Futurama Pixel Cross Stitch on: January 18, 2012 05:36:34 AM
I attempted my first ever cross stitch last week from a free pattern by wee little stitches
( http://weelittlestitchescrossstitch.blogspot.com/2012/01/free-pattern-futurama.html )

The cool pattern was the inspiration I needed to take up cross stitch. Before then I thought it was all flowers and kittens! Looking around on here... I have been proven completely wrong there!!

I was quite surprised by how long it took to complete, its very time consuming, but very easy to get completely 'in to' and lose a whole evening. Very easy to make mistakes too. There were a couple of bits that I messed up from the pattern but didnt even realise till I held it away and took a good look  Sad but im really pleased with it.

This picture is how it looks finished (needs a good iron!)
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My first ever sock monster on: January 18, 2012 04:45:24 AM
Please all say hello to Gilbert. Gilbert is far from impressed with having his photo taken. In fact he's being quite grumpy about it and has gone to sit in a dark, quiet room in a bit of a sulk.

Gilbert is my first ever sock monster and my first ever craftster post! Hopefully it wont be the last Smiley

Please check him out here...
