So over the last few weeks I have been working on two skirts. One is a hand painted galaxy tutu, scrappy skirt. I wanted it to be a fun grungy/gothic hippy look to it. But it didn't turn out quite what I wanted. But still cute. I have lots of stuff left over, so I may make another one later today. The other skirt is a full quilted/patch work circle skirt in oranges and tans.

I have seen these everywhere. And some are super $$$ spendy. I still think they are cute...so I just randomly though to make my own yesterday. I really like them. I think I am going to make more, and hey...maybe I well put them on my etsy shop too. I just wont ask for so much. lol.

I saw this on pinertest and thought...hey! Anyways, I am a wine fan...and I been trying all kinds lately, I have been wanting to keep the bottles for a few other projects. Then I saw this, save the cork too! I used a bamboo kabob sticks I had laying around, and a marker to write on the cork with. And TADA, upcycled garden markers. I need a lot more, these guys don't even cover half of the herb garden...and I think I'll do some for the veggies too.
 

I ended up doing this 52 week project from paint the moon. Last week was growth. I was unsure of what I wanted to take for this photo, however it was very nice and warm out on morning...and the sun just picked up all these dew drops. So I got out my camera and starting shooting away. It wasn't till then, I though of this photo. I took this with my Nikon D5000 with the 35 mm lens and a close up X4 filter on it because I could not locate my macro (which I found after I put the camera away) As far as editing, all I did was mess with the contrast a bit, and cropped it. I have gotten a lot of complements for this one, so I though I would share it here.
 

A few weeks ago I made some tutus, both are no sews. One is made from 3 different colors of tulle, and the other it a scrap tutu, made from left over and odd fabric that I ripped up into little strips. The tulle one I made for my daughter ballet class, but she only ended up wearing it once to class, cause it was too distracting for her, and the other girls, lol. The scrappy one I made for dress up.
 

I was unsure where to put this, and I didn't see a wood craft area.
Anyways, my daughter is always getting into sticks and rocks to make a home for the garden fairies...so I figured why really make one.
During the winter we heat most of our house by the fire place. Some of the wood we use, the bark falls off and we put in it a another bin to keep it more dry. So I went though it to look for some good pieces to use for the house. I wanted some with moss on it and some of the birch tree bark that had that papery look to it.
Then I had my daughter find some sticks, and rocks, and I had her grab a few broken shells and sand dollars we found on our last beach trip. I also had some of that dry moss you can get from the dollar store that I used too.
So we took out the hot glue gun, and the E6000 glue and glued the bark pieces together, and some rocks down for little chairs the sticks and shells, and sand dollars for decor and part of the roof.
Later when some of my wild flowers bloom, I am sure my daughter will pick fresh flowers for the fairy for her house. =)

Now I though there was a costume thing on here. But I could't find it so I post here. The Vampire ball is a old style ball that is held in Portland ever year at the end of March. Its really fun, dinner, chocolate fountain, drinks, Night Flight Aerial shows, dancing all that fun stuff. However there is a dress code. This year I made most of my costume...my overcoat I have had, and just a tank under. The corset I borrowed from a friend. The tights and finger less gloves I got from sock dreams.com. Now the skirt and the mini top hat I made, and the shoes...I made those too. And the flask...I could not find one I like in time, so I got a plain one and spiced it up a little. Oh, and the necklace I got the pendant at Joanns, and just put it on a old chain I had layin around.   The top hat was inspired but this post... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=401296.0 and the skirt..well I kinda wanted something Alice in wonderland theme type. So....yea. Here it is. Enjoy. I had fun making everything and puting it all together.

Just some fun head bands and flowers for whatever I find to put them on I made for my girls and me.

A friend of mine is having a little baby girl and is due next week! So not only did I do her photos, I made her a few little things too.

I have seen stuff like this before, and I though I would give it a go. Its not very 'pink princess like' but my daughter loves it all the same. My niece lives with me as well, so I probably end up making another one so their not fighting over it.
I just took an old box cut it up to fit on of my daughters larger/taller barbies (some are shorter, like the tinker bell dolls) hot glued all the pieces together then took some old pieces of fabric and cut them to fit over the head and foot board. then took the same fabric for the sheet. made the pillow, which I glued onto the bed so she wouldn't lose it. Then cut some old lace for the bed skirt. And Ta da! Cinderella is already napping.
