Hi Everyone,
I am knitting the Sophie Bag from Magknits and in my short knitting career, thsi is the first time I have needed to use Stitch Markers. So, after I picked up the stitches around the base, knit one round, then placed my 4 markers (I just used different color yarn). Now it says decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker on rows 10, 20 , 30, etc. My markers are way down at the bottom, do I just need to follow the imagionary line up from the marker at the bottom to see where I should decrease or am I using these markers wrong?
I know this is kind of a silly question-I hope someone understands what I am asking..thanks in advance!

I made a sweater for my mother for her b-day. I bought the car coat pattern from Patternworks along with 12 balls of yarn ($11.99 each-eek), stayed up until 3 in the morning the day before her birthday to finish it and it looks like crap. Seriously. It is about 3 sizes too big and I almost slit my wrists from all those $#%& ends to weave in. The night before I gave it to her I was secretly hoping my kitty would get into it and ruin it.  

Anways, the moral? You aren't alone!

Has anyone tried this bag? I just bought some yarn to start it, it says that you only need 1 skein?? Sounds too good to be true!

Just wondering if anyone has knit it and if so, how did it turn out?

I am a knitter who wants to extend her craftiness into a little sewing..so, I have decided I want to sew some big floor pillows for people to sit on in my under-furnished apartment.  Does anyone have any instructions on how to go about doing this (dumbed down for a beginner)? I thought I read some instructions on here for this a while ago but I can't find them anywhere...anyways-thanks in advance for the help
