1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Piggy Lover & Bear on: February 16, 2014 10:32:15 AM
You should use a picture with better definition next time.
They look adorable- and would look more so if better photographed

My favourite is the bear though- I'm so happy with your contrasting color for the face.

The Jabba looks great- the body is very well done.
I'm happy with the size you chose on the set overall because it's accurate- if only scaled down to yarn form.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / This is a gallery piece I made called Potted Planets. on: February 15, 2014 12:11:20 PM

So I made this. Then a few nights ago I realized it wasn't invoking enough.
Thus I killed him. Made the American Astronaut face an awful spacedeath.
Here it is, a Requiem for Potted Planets.

The teeth are made from resin.
I took a mold of a set of real human teeth which I ordered from a dental website then cast them in white resin.
The alien is crochetted and the Astronaut is made using a stitch wrapping method and has a styrofoam core. The continents on the planets are needle felted and the mask he's wearing is a later of cut clear plastic.
The UFO is a styrofoam ball cut in half then gluestitched alone with silk at the top and green minky at the base
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Amigurumi in Portland? on: December 09, 2011 05:46:19 PM
I'm from LA, but we're traveling up to Portland soon for winter vacation.

Does anyone in the area know where I could find amigurumi eyes or noses?

I don't really have any good locations in LA either, so I hoped to find some there.
