Ok so the culprit is a plain messenger bag, with nothing on it...
Looks sorta like this:
And it really needs something... as you can see! This is NOT my bag, its just an example of mine, they look very similar, exept mine is made from a darker denim. As well as mine being unfinished, due to me holding back in case there is a pattern I could incorporate into it, which requires it to be unfinished to do... so iv left that option open... I was thinking of doing some embroidery like this: Somewhere on the front... problem is i don't know where to buy pre made embroidery, or how to embroider, so any advice on that would be so useful!
I desperately need help on how to make this bag funkier and exiting!!
Anything will be useful thanks soo much!!

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Strap= Stressful....

Okay, so I am making a messenger bag out of denim with the dimensions being 18"long, 15" high, and 9"thick and its all working out fine, and looks quite good..... BUT i haven't figured out how to 1. reinforce and 2. make the strap, as well as make it look nice. the last messenger bag i had, had a 2" strap out of denim, doubled up, but it broke at the seam connecting it to the bag! so when i fixed it, i made it wider by 1/2 an inch and it still tore... I use my bag for lugging heavy books and binders(school bag)... and i have some questions about the straps!
1. is there a special way to attach the straps? 2.How thick and strong does it have to be? (but not too bulky)or a way to reinforce it? 3. is there a way to make the strap fit better, i put it across my chest not my shoulder, so it diggs in.... is there a way to stop that?
And any other helpful advice on how to make the strap less bland looking, or anything about the strap would be GREATLY appriciated!!!
Thanks soooo much!
