2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Lyrics and something meaningful... any ideas? on: October 24, 2006 05:03:18 PM
Ok here's the story
My best friend's amazing mother died of cancer a year ago next week. Since then my friend has been trying to play mom... a really tough job for a fifteen year old. Anyway I wanted to make her something special to maybe remind her of her mom and know that she's not forgotten.

So here's what I have to work with

I want to do something with the lyrics "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion because that was her song that reminds her of her mother... and it played at her funeral. I want to do something pretty and creative but not too complicated, any ideas???

Thanks!! You guys rock!!

I'll post pictures as soon as my camera starts working.

7  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Anyone know where to get cheap convers knock-offs? on: October 01, 2005 12:58:23 PM
I want to make a painted pair of hi-top tenis shoes but I'm not about
to shell out 40 bucks for shoes that I'm going to paint on anyway just cause they have a logo  Grin
So I was wondering if anyone knows a place I could get some hi-top converse tennies look-alikes.
Any ideas???
Thanks!
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Film Cans on: October 01, 2005 12:44:22 PM
Ok, so the other day I walked into Sams Club with my mom. The photo department ladies are nice so I asked if I could have a couple empty film cans because my brothers and I make rockets with them.
I somehow ended up with an entire box full of them 50+ that they'd been trying to get rid of but couldn't bare to through away. So... now what to do with all of them?? We've rocket'd our selves out and we still have way too many, but I like the photo ladies can't bare to through them away. Being the crafty person I am (and a packrat Smiley I know there has to be some really awesome use for them.... I just haven't found it yet. If you have feel free to post and let me know Smiley

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help needed - where to find a white unitard for Star Wars Padme Costume on: September 26, 2005 05:04:06 PM
I want to make that costume from the end of episode two where she's wearing the long white suit and the clones come. I barely have time to breathe right now so I'll have to squeeze in time to fix it up on the weekends. Does anyone know where to get a relatively inexpensive white unitard??
Also has anyone already made this costume? Tips/Advice??
Thanks!
