I'm looking for a few good crocheters who design their own patterns.

I'm in the process of putting together a collection of different designers for a book.  I'm looking for unique designs... nothing frumpy or from the oldschool of crochet.  Please let me know if this is something you are interested in. Thanks!

I made this out of hemp and it only took about a half hour.  I'm so proud.

size 7 steel crochet hook
size 10 crochet thread

Ch4, ss 1st stch

Ch1, 8sc into loop, ss ch1

Ch1, (2sc 1st stch, 1sc 2nd stch) –Repeat in next stchs 4 times, ss ch1

Ch1, (2sc 1st stch, 1sc 2nd stch)– Repeat in next stchs 12 times, ss ch1

Ch3, (Back loop this round only) 6dc next stch, 7dc each stch to end, ss top of ch3 Ch3, (Color change)

Ch3, turn, (dc, sc) each stch to end, ssch3 (color change)

Ch1, turn, sc turning stch, skip next stch, (sc, ch, dc) every other stch to end, hdc last stch, ss ch1

Ch1, turn, sc turning stch (sc, ch, dc) each ch 1 space (of scallops) to end, hdc last stch, ss ch1 – repeat this row 1 more time,

Ch1, turn, sc turning stch, (5dc in ch1 space, sc next ch1 space) repeat to the end, hdc last stch, ss ch1

Hide ends towards center of flower

Just got up the courage to try some crochet socks.  I don't know why, but I have been avoiding this project for months!!!  Any tips to keep things from going horribly wrong?

Am I really a wuss, or is it just me?

I'm thinking about doing a thread top, that's a mixture of a tube top, a string bikini, and a halter.  Need to finish a skirt and doll dress first.  Sigh....
