What is a Promo Trade/swap?
When you participate in a Promo Trade you will be sending your shop's promotional material to other shop owners with the agreement that you will include their promos in your customer orders, market stalls, charity events whatever. It benefits both sides since each shop is getting the word out to possible clients and supporting the indie business scene at the same time! Fun, huh?!
How this is going to work:
members will sign up for the swap. You will have to send in your promo materials by July 18th. You will also have to include a Flat Rate Envelope ($4 postage) with your promos. I will then evenly distribute the materials and ship the prepaid packages back out to everyone. Yeah!
What to send?
You've got quite a few options as far a buying promotional material goes. Look through some of the threads on PR and you'll find some great links to shop from. Some shops give out pencils or pens, buttons, erasers, stickers and much more.
If you're looking for something crafty to make and give out, you might want to check out the thread on crafty business ideas. With the right materials, the possibilities are endless. Small flyers (less than 1/4 a normal page) are also accepted.
