1  Re: Illustrate My Favorite Story Swap Round 2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by bladeburn on: June 12, 2010 03:00:40 AM
I have received all three illustrations from my three very talented swap partners: Ralph, Kayoubi and Stellou. This is a very inspirational poem for me and Im very glad at how the illustrations suits ME! I am really amazed at the synchrony of all three illustrations, Im truly satisfied. I am planning to have it framed and posted in my craft room. Thanks a lot ladies!  Grin

Invictus by William Ernest Henley

-----Section 1 (Ralph):
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

-----Section 2 (Kayoubi):
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,

-----Section 3 (stellou):
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

This one is a gingham/plaid lace which i wrapped around this plastic bangle

this is what it looks iniside, i used a satin lace here literally as a lining

9  Beaded Earrings: My First Post! Yay! (w/ diagram for 3-layered hoop earrings) in Beads: Completed Projects by bladeburn on: June 16, 2005 09:28:31 PM
I really appreciate all your sweet comments! i have sold most of these earrings to my friends. Now, im playing with beads and wire like crazy!  Grin

Awesome! I love number 8 - is that just done with wire? I'd love to try out that design, with your permission and advice, of course.

Yup, i did number 8 with wire  Smiley of course you are more than welcome to try-out that design. so yeah, here's what i did:

Step 1: Cut three wires of the same length. make a loop on the end of the first layer of wire and insert seed beads.
Step 2: insert looped end of the second layer of wire followed by seed beads and centerpiece in the middle of the first layer of wire. Repeat in the next layers.
Step 3: insert beads in the 3rd layer of wire then loop the end. insert this end in the 2nd layer of wire
Step 4: Continue inserting seed beads in the 2nd layer, loop the end of the wire and insert this on the 1st layer.
Step 5: insert last batch of seed beads in the 1st layer, loop the end, connect the two looped ends with a jumpring and insert centerpiece. voila, you know have the first of your pair of three-layered hoop earrings.

thanks! and, to those who want to try this design, i hope you share pix of your lovely creation  Kiss
