1  Not That Anyone Wants to See Anther iPod Cozy, but.... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Stitchoramamama on: June 02, 2006 09:08:13 PM
Here it is anyway!

The case:

With an inner cozy all quilted up nice:

And a hole for the cord because it is soooo annoying when there isn't one!

With a nice snug strap so I can take my music walking, hiking, dancing while I do the dishes....

It's doooooooooone!

Ok, so it's been done for two weeks.  Gosh, I'm lazy.

More kooky pics are on a slideshow on my blog - as well as more details.   Smiley

3  Freshly Dyed Roving in Spinning: Completed Projects by Stitchoramamama on: February 20, 2006 05:51:39 PM
Okay, so it's not spun yet - but I really wanted to share!

My sister and I set up our own little dyeing studio this weekend and tested out our 18 colors (12 basic Lanaset colors and 6 we blended ourselves) on smallish pieces of roving.  Here are our results!

Turns out dyeing as addictive as spinning.  Uh oh.   Grin

4  Merino Slubby Yarn :) in Spinning: Completed Projects by Stitchoramamama on: December 21, 2005 06:09:35 PM
I spun this up for my sis for her birthday.  I've got a thing for hot pink and turquoise.  Rowr!

Raz-matazz
Fiber: 100% merino in turqouise and raspberry pink.
Spun into: Single ply - super thin to super bulky in red and blue raspberry... About 280 yards.
Comments: Slightly felted (on purpose!) when I set the twist...

She's planning on making a little stole with it  Smiley

5  Re: Projects from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" in Knitting: Completed Projects by Stitchoramamama on: December 21, 2005 06:06:10 PM
I made my sister one of "Kim's Hats" for Ecksmas  Smiley

I used some soy silk I spun and some Blue Sky Cotton in Grape.

Doesn't she look pleased?

6  Re: Lelah's done! (now with PATTERN) in Knitting: Completed Projects by Stitchoramamama on: July 14, 2005 05:21:33 PM
Here's my saucy French Lelah....

I used Phildar Onde in Volcan (J'aime Phildar!)  It's been discontinued - quite a shame!  It's a silky soft cotton/acrylic blend that slowly changed from one color to another - I found it nice to work with.

I added a couple of lace repeats to lengthen her a bit.  Then I sewed in small pieces of hem tape onto the wrong side of the fabric at the bind off edge and attached ribbon straps to them - for a little extra support hehe

I lerv it totally and completely.

Vive la Boozehag!
