1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / opinion needed: display in stock quantities? on: March 10, 2012 07:30:02 AM
In my craft business, I make limited-run, limited quantity items. Depending on the complexity of the item, I might only have a couple of them in stock (for example, wine racks). For other items, such as soap, I might have a few dozen. And, there's no guarantee that the item will appear again once it is out of stock.

I was wondering if it would be useful to display the quantity of the items I have in stock? I'm thinking that if you see something on my site that you really like, you might be more inclined to make a purchase if you see that only 1 or 2 are left in stock. Thoughts?

Website is here: http://www.everyonedrinks.com/

Thanks for any opinions.

2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / cutting square bottles on: December 01, 2011 06:57:33 PM
Does anyone have a technique for cutting square bottles? I've had success cutting round bottles using a bottle cutting kit, but it does not work for square bottles.

I was thinking that I could just use a regular glass cutter with a straight edge to score around the bottle, and then proceed as usual, but I was hoping someone might have a better method.
