12  Re: 13 Days of Halloween Swap 2008 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by beckster on: June 17, 2008 06:07:14 PM
I hear by declare this spot as beckster's mini gallery!  I kinda forgot to do this part sooner...whoops!

Here's all the goodies I got from my partner, HalloweenNut:

Day 13: 13 bag of Wonka candy in little chrome, black and orange tin buckets!  I love the buckets and the candy will find a good home in my belly.  I could use the ziplocs too, I just ran out!

Day 12: 12 awesome coasters.  I had my eye on these a loooong time ago!  Mind reader!  Who is that sexy lady?

I thought we could use an unofficial swap mascot.  She's testing out her tutu.

Day 11:  11 pretzel and chocolate treats.  Some are witch fingers, pumpkins, and mummies.  preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'The...nomnomnom....pic...nomnom...only') shows 10 'cuz....nomnom...I'm eating one!

Day 10:  10 Halloween cups that are actually pretty heavy duty!  They'll be full of potion soon!!

Day 9:  9 spooky soaps-skulls and dead cherubs.  Cute!  Putting them in my bathroom!

Day 8:  Holy crap!  8 heads!  I opened the box to 8 skulls!  These guys are so cool, these pics don't do them any justice!!

Day 7:  7 diabolical dishcloths.  Kinda hard to see, but they are all Halloween themed...Did I mention that I love dishcloths?  I am obsessed with them!
spooky bat

moon with bats

bat

kitty

pumpkin, tombstone with bats (my fave!) and a witch stirring a cauldron with a kitty

Day 6:  6 Awesome tombstones!!  I can always use more tombstones for my Halloween cemetery scene!  Sweet!

my feet are not that tanned!!

Day 5:  3 knitted softie skulls, a skull paperweight...could be, and one super freakin' awesome journal!!

Day 4:  4 zombie hands!!  These are sooo much more nasty in person! I love them, they too are going out in our mini-cemetery!  Thanks for angle cutting the PVC!!  Smart girl!  My bf doesn't like it when I touch his face with them. HAHA!

Day 3:  3 outlet covers.  You are one talented painter!!

Day 2:  A really super comfy felted skully scarf.  It's seriously one of the softest felted things I've ever felt.  I wore it all day.

And last but certainly not least, DAY ONE is finally here....
        Drumroll please....

A super awesome creepy cool skull light.  With flicker bulb!!  How freakin' cool is this thing??!!

Thank you so much for a fun swap HalloweenNut!!  I really had fun getting all your goodies!  I hope you had as much fun with this swap as I did!!  Thanks again!!

And a BIIIIIIIG shout out to Sunday, without her, none of this Halloween goodness would be possible!  Thank you Sunday!!

13  Re: The Science IS Art! swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by beckster on: May 18, 2008 01:01:04 PM
Here is the swag I got from rira.  I finally got around to posting pics, so here is all the goodies...

The orange stuffie is herpes simplex and the green guy is ear ache.  Appropriately named I think.  The blue painting is a jar of eyeballs and the green one is a heart.  The bag has the ascent of man stenciled on it in what looks like metallic grey paint.  The pics don't do it any justice.  I can't take a good pic to save my life! Roll Eyes

So, THANK YOU very much rira!!  I love all of it!

Iron on transfers, skully pencils, calorimetry, little silk bag with sweet earings, and a cute 'lil lamby

Close up of the hand made button

This is what the goodies were wrapped up in.  I got two skeins of it.  I love lime green and I love this yarn!

Sweet embroidery scissors which I have been wanting for a while now, a matchbook notebook, and a bookmark

An awesome birds nest necklace in cute packaging.  Almost all the goodies came wrapped up like this!

Radical sock yarn and coordinating needles!  I always need DPNs!  They were wrapped up in the gnome bag in the background.

And the creme de la creme...a CUTE owl bag.  I can't wait to use this at the library.  I like the library.  It is fun!

Thank you so much for all the sweet swag!!  I love all of it SewingLori.  Sorry it took so long to get pics up!

Caution:  Image morbidly obese!

Holy Moses on a moped did I get the coolest package from EOcrafter today!  I can't believe how lucky I got getting paired up with her.  On to the amazing loot....

This is what was on my doorstep.  The crayon is for scale.  It was freakin' 'uge!

The innards, all wrapped up nice!!

This was 'funny'.  It's yarn to make a cactus pincushion...

...and it came with a pattern!

This was 'green' with our fave letter-B!  Always one crappy pic in the bunch!

'Round' and 'Sender's Choice'.  The 'round' is a travel knitting bag that I just so happened to be eyeballing...and the 'choice' is a skein of my fave-Lamb's Pride BULKY!!  I love this stuff, and I didn't even ask for bulky.  I think someone might be psychic!

This was the 'hard' category.  EOcrafter said she had a hard time with these 'lil buggers, so I think I may give it a shot.  I've had my eyes on these guys too!

'Local'.  A yummy chocolate bunny.  I may eat him soon...It was made 10 miles from her house!  Now that's local!

A little something extra, 'cuz I'm a sucker for Hello Kitty!

An awesome thank you in advance card
(how many times do you get one of these Tongue)??

And I saved the bestest for lastest!  The 'T' category.  I would have been doing backflips if I knew how to do backflips when I opened this.  It's a Twinkle star blanket!!  She saw one on my wists and decided to make one!!  It's made out of wool too!  I can't believe how lucky I got!!   Kiss

if you look close you can see my toes Wink

SOOOO, Phew!!  That's it!  I love EVERYTHING!!!!  This here is why I do swaps!

THANK YOU EOCRAFTER
