1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: sewing/dining room on: January 02, 2012 05:13:17 PM
Your sewing room is adorable! You can definitely get drapes that aren't completely solid. Or you could get drapes that hang down by the side and blinds to adjust the brightness.

That is so cool! Definitely stealing this idea, especially with the blinds!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: kitchen curtain confusion! on: December 04, 2011 02:01:29 PM
Very cute kitchen!  You're right though, those curtains have to go.  They are really bland looking.  It makes the kitchen look dated and boring.  I would pick a bold color or something with a pattern.

When I first saw this, I really wasn't expecting it to be a cake!  Your husband did a great job.

He's a keeper!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Alice in Wonderland Party (lots of pics) on: November 30, 2011 06:34:06 PM
That's a great idea and so adorable for a baby!  I would make huge cards out of cardboard and paint/spraypainted them.

Did you play croquet after the party?  Tongue
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: sleepy owl on: November 30, 2011 05:02:51 PM
the yarn is handspun, and i got it on etsy.

i am a yarnoholic hahaha... seriously dropped like $200 on a basket of it a couple of months ago. at least i'm all stocked up for the winter!

I always do this! I try to get through most of the yarn before spring though but that never happens!  Tongue
