The tutorial is up. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=397873.new#new I'm not quite as pleased with the peacock as I am the phoenix but at least I hope all your questions were answered.  If not please let me know.  I look forward to seeing some new crayon paintings!
Thank you very much for posting this.  Grin I hope to try it when I get the time.
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Some lightbulbs on: December 12, 2011 04:30:24 PM
I have some of those eco-friendly CFL lights like this: http://i.imgur.com/p6b9h.jpg

I don't want to throw them away because I know they contain mercury and some harmful stuff. Anyone have some creative ideas what to do with them?
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: What paint to use? on: December 05, 2011 04:09:14 PM
Really depends on where it's going in my opinion. For example, acrylic paint would work but wouldn't look necessary in many instances. I like spray paint frankly but that requires lots of tape and/or stencils. Anybody at Lowes/Home depot (or a local hardware store for best prices) can easily point you towards paint good for wood if you have none available.

Those are some fantastic gifts. I really want the pink polka-dotted one!  Grin

Thanks everyone!  I will make a little tutorial, with all the little things I learned while doing this, soon.  I plan on making a peacock next.
Wow, this is really cool. I love the colors. Any idea how soon you could have the tutorial up?
