21  octopi for charity in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by GumInMyHair on: June 05, 2007 08:29:53 AM
I was told about the need for toys at the local battered women's shelter. I made a few octopi because they are fast and easy and helped me lighten my stash a bit. I hope they help the kids who have to live at the shelter.

Here are the ones I've made so far..

I thought I'd post this card/tag I made. It looks nice in person. The center piece is paper my friend in Japan sent me. I am keeping it for that reason

Happy May

Here's my Tuesday card:

It's acrylic paint, a piece of mulberry paper, a stamped image and tiny gold stars. (not available)

Also I have included a bonus card for you that my daughter made (15 yrs.). She likes to swap too.

Colored pencils and sharpie and tiny stars. It's called Castles in the Sky.
I apologize for the horrible pics. My scanner isn't working and I haven't posted a decent picture yet! These cards really do have straight edges.

So many great cards in this gallery. I thought I'd put one in here too. It's been traded, but I thought I'd show you before it goes in the mail.

It's colored pencil, marker, and a big sequin for the bomb.

Goatgoddess, I like your felt card. I always like a coffee or tea theme.

Candi, maybe I should get the oil pastels out. Nice card.

Racky, I LOVE collage cards. Beautiful.

Here's my Tuesday card.....

It's paper, paint and some eyelets. I like it cause it feels "warm". Not available.

28  4 ATC's......Queen, Tree, Mask , Abstract in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by GumInMyHair on: March 28, 2007 06:01:31 PM
Here are some cards I recently made.....pictures aren't the best quality.

The left card is paper, clay and jute. The other is paper with a flat bead. These have both been traded.

The Tree card is paper. I cut each leaf and petal out individually! The "Queen" is paper on a playing card, postage stamp and sequins. The Queen has been traded.

Thanks for looking.

29  Winter tree and snow flakes with rhinestones painted on shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by GumInMyHair on: February 12, 2007 03:33:21 PM
Inspired by the Indiana weather.....dead, gray and snowy.

I hand painted the tree and snowflakes with a sharpie, acrylic paint with textile medium and fabric paint. Then I used my bedazzler to add the rhinestones to the snowflakes. There are 3 snowflakes on the back shoulder and 1 on the sleeve.

It looks more realistic and detailed than the pic shows, but you get the idea.

I like it. I have gotten some nice compliments on it when wearing it.

30  Re: Huge Crocheted Tote Bag...(medium & purse size added) in Crochet: Completed Projects by GumInMyHair on: May 17, 2006 07:54:13 AM
I finished my purse-size tote last night. I like how it came out. The pattern was easy and it worked up pretty quickly. Now I better get started on the diaper bag version.
It actually looks nicer than the picture. Thanks for showing us this pattern.
