Hey dudes, this was the prom dress I made last year for my senior prom.  I hope it inspires you all! Good luck everyone!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / prom-a-licious! black & white prom dress on: April 13, 2005 06:49:31 PM
Hey everyone...I've been addicted to this website since I found it, which was like, 3 days ago...but I'm obsessed.  I thought I should maybe post something.  My mom and I made my prom dress for both my junior and senior years (this pic is of my senior year), and I thought I'd share it with the masses.  I thought it might be good to give people ideas of what they want their prom dress to look like.  It was nice to have an original dress at prom, but...homemade dresses should come with a warning.  My strap broke on the way to prom (but that could've happened to any dress, really), but   I suggest bringing extra safety pins...just in case!  Thanks!

That's a gorgeous dress!  You did an amazing job with it.  It's also perfect for Oregon...it will be nice in the summer, and then you can wear it in the fall with a hoodie and tights or something.  I'm from Oregon, so I can relate.  How long did it take you to make it?  Once again, great job!
