1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Working with Linen Thread on: March 03, 2006 04:47:27 PM
Inspired by the thrift store shoppers, I found a white linen sweater at Goodwill this week for $3.38.  I'd like to take it apart and use the thread for a scarf.  (I found a beautiful pattern at the DMC website.)  Has anyone worked with linen?  It says dry clean only.  It's a little dingy, can I hand wash it?  Will it dye?  I've never dyed yarn before either.  Any suggestions on how to proceed?
