I made one for my nephew who is as yet unborn.... my sis-in-law is due for a c-section on aug 9 (which is his fathers birthday too). She typically doesn't use "normal" colors, like her daughter was desaturated greens and pinks with brown. Soooo here's what I did for him...

I used Charisma yarn that was at Michaels, which is like mega super soft and squishy and i LOVE IT and highly recommend it. It crocheted up really damn fast!

just so you're aware, I'm blaming the fact that I sat down and designed a new TV shelf to custom fit my games/speakers on you. And I've ALWAYS had trouble figuring out how to paint my kitchen red... those dot things will do the trick perfectly.

(also, i have a thing for phoenixes, and I'm thinking about doing something similar to what you did with the water molecule in the bedroom, but painted black with red light behind it in the shape of a phoenix.)

Out of curiosity, did you make the armor with clay?

oh yeah, I did. Its that.... fimo sculpy whatever stuff that Ive used like once in my life. Just molded it, threw it in the oven and painted- with fabric paint, oddly, because thats what i had haha. Her cloak is a piece of grey felt painted with... well, fabric paint.

And he loved it! For all those wanting to know his reaction. He was actually pretty stunned at it. He thought i was gonna draw her.

So. This is my Valentines Day present for ma boy this year-- I was really worried I had outdone myself last year (his favorite game is Portal, and I made him a Companion Cube Cake).

But anyhow, I saw all the cute little amigurumis over at http://geekcentralstation.blogspot.com/ which helpfully came with a pattern And thought I would make one for him.

One of the neat things about my boyfriend is his storytelling. He is a fantastic writer and storyteller, and no matter what he runs into he always leaves a trace of this behind. So, in WoW, his main character is a little gnome female, a warrior, named Pips. He is on a PvP server and has a brilliant story and background for her, and despite the fact that I make fun of him all the time for roleplaying a gnome female, i thought shed be fun to make

So i looked him up in the WoW armory and got all the armor stuff... and made one!
