Thanks everyone.  The cello is an electric cello I bought on ebay.  I was surprized at what good tone it had.  I've been trying to make more cool skirts to play cello in, cause most store bought skirts + cello = indecent exposure.  I'll get a full length photo after I wash it.  Our old orchestra had kilts as part of the uniform in high school; it wasn't bad becauswe they were long enough to cover up.  It's funny, I have no problem rehearsing in pants, but it just feels wrong to wear pants while performing.

I played 2 shows with the band on Thursday, so it needs to be washed before I put it on again, even for photos Smiley.  If you want to see more action shots, there are a bunch of pictures now on the band's myspace http://myspace.com/penny_blacks

I did 12 rows of shirring on the top of 2 rectangles, sewed then together then measured the botom of the tube.  I used that measurement to make a circle skirt, and sewed them together.  Then since I'm lazy, used bias tape to do the hem.

I wanted a sundress, so I made one.  It's a shirred top and a circle skirt.  I bought the fabric ages ago just because I loved it, and had it waiting for the perfect project.  I'll have to take a pic sometime of the dress without the cello in the way, but This is one of the few pics I have of the dress so far (all with cello in the way of the dress)

Just so you understand what's going on, giggleycraft (even though I'm sure you do already) you're crafting for CheyElizabeth, who will craft for me, and then I'll craft for you. We had uneven numbers at the end...

Awesome.  I figured that was the dealio Smiley

phew... lots and lots of BB coding there, but the bandlist is up now in the OP.

Awesome list.  I love a lot of bands on the list, and will have to check out some of the others.  This is going to be so much fun.

I bought some skully bandannas a while back with thoughts of making something with them.  I may have to give something similar to this a go.  I love the shape.
